I don't know about you, but to me $180 is a LOT for a set of sheets, but that having been said, these sheets are completely worth it. I ordered a second pair after having my initial pair two years. When they arrived, there was a tear along the seam of the top sheet. We called eluxury, on a Saturday, and spoke with a customer service rep who sent out a new pair of sheets that arrived the following Wednesday. They also emailed a label to send the torn sheets back at their expense.I previously owned a pair of "1000" thread count sheets from a large warehouse type store. That brand, hotel luxury maybe? felt nothing like these sheets . Like the difference between silk and straw. I read later that the warehouse store "1000" thread count were actually closer to 400-600 thread count.I would definitely recommend these to anyone. 5Very DisappointedVery disappointed. Not any better than other cotton sheets I purchased in the past for so much less. Stains so easily and dirt stays on the sheets. I cannot explain it. We are clean careful people but after one washing (while following their laundry instructions) sheets still look dirty and look as if they re already old. Like very old. So sad about this product touted as the best in cotton sheets! I will never buy from this company again. 1They're truly a sensory experience you'll never forgetAs I continue to purchase Exceptional Sheets products to redo my bed and bath, I think back to these sheets as the reason I keep coming back. I wish I could eloquently impress upon all potential customers how remarkable the customer service is but that's for a different feedback box I think. As for the sheets, well, ever hope you bed linen you immediately know are made to last for years on end? These are those type of sheets, the kind you might remember from sleeping at your grandparent's house (seriously old school quality you simply don't encounter anymore).After washing them in only baking soda and white vinegar three times, they were soft enough to place on the bed. They were so soft, in fact, they felt weird on my skin, like my nerves didn't know how to interrupt just how soft they are. When you prepare to put the mattress cover on, you have that feeling in the back of your mind from experience with other covers that you're about to pull a muscle getting the darn thing on. Surprise! I smiled and shook my head in amazement at how easy this fit my 18" firm mattress while remaining snug in all areas. They have yet to pop off a corner, yet don't feel like I'm sleeping on a trampoline.Next, the bed sheet. Again, fit great! It was at this point I began to realize these are sheets you're unlikely to see at Bed, Bath and Beyond, or anywhere else for the price. Maybe it's the 1000 TC but these a real sheets...there's a feeling of authenticity to Exceptional Sheets items like this I've never experienced except, maybe, in five star hotels overseas and in the southern US. They feel so distinct, I'd probably recognize them if I slept on them anywhere else. They're truly a sensory experience you'll never forget.Now, just a short note about customer service. A host of shipping issues that converged into what seemed like a predestined universal conspiracy led me to contact eLuxury while I was in a bit of frazzled state. I was thinking, "Here we go again, another company that sells you stuff and leaves you hanging if there's a problem...typical corporate BS." Two hours later, after sending a message written with much restraint, I received a call from a lead customer service manager (name withheld to protect their voice mail from a influx of compliments) and, long story short, he was able to decipher the mystery and, with a sincere apology (not the kind you get from customer service reps who apologize all day like it's as autonomous as your heartbeat), made it right. How many companies do that these days? Amazing!Considering the quality of these sheets, the seller's customer service orientation and staffing on both ends with disabled veterans like myself, it's hard to imagine purchasing my bed and bath linens from anywhere else. Now if I could only get one of their bathrobes. :) 5ACTUAL 1000TC unlike some claim!AWSOME sheets. I have had 1000TC seets in the past snd loved them. I accidentally got a hole in the last set and needed to replace them. It was much harder to find actual 1000TC sheets thus time. This is the fourth set I've bought in the last 2 mo. The first felt like sandpaper and you could see right through them when holding them up to the light. I returned them. The second set seemed kinda light weight but felt very smooth so I kept them but they started pilling on the second wash. The third seemed like the second so I returned them. Finally after reading a little about how some sheets use shorter fibers and may actually be 250 TC but 4ply so they get away with claiming 1000TC. These are very good quality! 5Best sheets for the priceBest sheets for the price. We have purchased 3 sets, and my inlaws bought 2 sets after sleeping in our guest bed. It does take 3-4 washes to get the stiffness out of the sheets. There is never any lint in the dryer, indicating a very high quality cotton. We have been able to get stains out of these without any problem, and scrubbing them has not caused any pilling.You can also purchase these on their webpage, but every time I have checked the price is better on Amazon. 5Scratchy sheetsBased on reviews and ratings, I bought 4 sets of these expensive sheets at Christmas, 3 to give as gifts and 1 for me. While the sheets are definitely thick and seemingly well made, they are NOT soft and have not become soft after 3 washings. In fact, they are scratchy. I've read mixed reviews about how hot they will be in the summer, so I may be tossing them in July if not before. Furthermore, I am disturbed that they cannot be washed in hot water. I can't believe I paid this much money for sheets that are far from comfortable. 1DO NOT BE FOOLED!Searched high and low, spending many hours to find 1,000 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets with excellent reviews for a decent price. Sadly, I was suckered into buying these sheets based on the overwhelming majority of five star reviews. I shopped for luxurious bedding to treat myself and ended up as a cuckold! These sheets were worse than the 300 thread count sheets I purchased at Kmart for our dogs bed. I will forever remain convinced that this supplier has paid a professional service company for every one of those excellent reviews. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE FIVE STAR CUSTOMER REVIEWS FOR THESE SHEETS!!! 1Does not hold up well. Pilled within 3 months of gentle use.These were great for the first use, very soft and fit nicely. After less than 3 months these have pilled so badly I can no longer sleep on them. Have only had these on the bed at most 4 times, washing on gentle after a week of use. I've treated these much more gently than cheaper sheets I've owned to much worse results. I've had sheets for years that never even came close to the poor condition these sheets are in now. 1Two Years of UseI've owned these sheets since March of 2015, and they remained tear free until last week. A quick review would be they aren't terrible, but there are much better sheets on the market at this price point. For a sateen weave, they were rather durable, even with dogs constantly jumping on the bed. This durability comes at a price, as they were significantly scratchier than my previous set of sheets. I remember being rather disappointed the first night I spent on the sheets, expecting the textbook silkiness of the sateen weave. It took close to 6 months of use and washing for them to soften up to what I consider to be a comfortable level.These aren't bad sheets, they just aren't worth what they're listed at now. Especially when other brands are selling much higher quality sheets at lower prices. Out of the box, these sheets are uncomfortable compared to other sateen sheets. If you're searching for a sheet that's perfectly soft and luxurious, keep looking. Do a bit of research and don't fall victim to the "higher the thread count the better" game like I did. 3and is ultimately a good product. I'm happy with itProduct arrived quickly and as described. Trust the seller with confidence.HOWEVER: This review is for people looking for really comfy sheets and wondering if they should buy this set. It comes exactly as described and fits well, takes a couple of washes and a little time to break in (as expected with Egyptian cotton), and is ultimately a good product. I'm happy with it. I am comfortable and cool at night and I feel that there is a good layer of quality fabric between me and my mattress. THAT BEING SAID, I suggest you at least consider other options, as you can probably get as good (or almost as good) a product for less money. Again, this product is very good and comes quickly and as described, but you probably shouldn't spend this much money on sheets. If you DO buy it, you won't be disappointed -- just know that sheets like this require time to break in. 5
