Beautiful Frame, Clearly Handmade, Well Crafted, See Photos. Took ForeverThis frame is beautiful. The quality is great. Yes the glass is real glass. It is not easy to find a 5x5 frame, particularly in white or distressed wood. The color is a bit yellow which is not what I would call eggshell like the picture but looks great with the black and white photo of my parents. I will explain the 4 stars at the end.The depth of the frame is not quite an inch, so it feels dainty. I used it on a shelf and wish it was a bit bulkier but I balanced the lack of depth with something else.If you want to hang the picture you have to attach the sawtooth hanger yourself. I didn t need it which is good because the glass would not come out. I would be uncomfortable using a hammer or similar to get that on the back.Here is why I didn t give them a 5-star rating. It took so long to get the product. When I asked why it was taking so long they just told me when it would be here. I can track, that was not what I asked. I just wanted to know why my text said it would be here Tuesday and the date changed. I get frustrated when I ask specific questions and I get answers to questions I didn t ask and don t get answers to what I asked.I think it took about 2 weeks. The frame was carefully packed to guarantee that the glass would remain intact. 4Looks okay, but overpriced and deceptively advertisedThe reviews for this product are spot-on. Although the description is accurate, the product picture is deceptive - this frame is 3/4" wide, not an inch or two like the pictures appears. It is real wood, but the "grain" is horrifically fake. For some reason the "rustic finish" looks okay from the front (from a few feet away), but looks very brushed on and fake on the sides. And, although the box has "Warning Glass" plastered all over the box, it is acrylic.I do wish I had read the reviews before purchasing, but I'm not as upset with this product as others seem to be. My biggest complaints are that it seems intentionally misleading to the customer, and is overpriced for what is delivered. If this was $25 I would be pretty happy with the frame, but for $37 you're probably better off going elsewhere. 3Looks greatIts tough to find a wooden frame that looks good for an inexpensive price. The color of the frame is beautiful, I bought the honey on red oak and was very impressed by how true to the pictures it looked. Read the specs of the frame carefully. from the pictures it looks like a wide frame, it is only 3/4 inch thick. worked great for me but I would have been surprised had I not read it in the reviews. It also came with multiple ways to hang it, cord and the little metal piece that sits in the nail. They did not come pre-attached. I used the command picture strips to hang it, so it worked great for me. 5Good frame, but doesn't really look like the photo. Excellent customer service though.This seems like a nice frame, but it's just partially-stained wood. I ordered this for the distressed rustic look shown in the photo, and what I got isn't it.It's a good frame, but it looks like they've gotten lazy about actually distressing the wood after staining it. This just looks like a light stain, which does allow some wood color to show through, but is a distinctly different and less rustic look than the partially-worn quality shown in the product photo.To their credit -- the glass broke when I was installing the sawtooth hook, I emailed them about it, got a quick response, and they shipped me a new glass pane for free. 4Beautiful frameWonderful quality and construction. This is a real wood frame, not a vinyl wrap as most of their larger sizes are. This one has glass rather than plexiglass. I read revues where people were griping about not getting what they ordered or at least not the way it was described. I read the description carefully and got exactly what was described. The picture makes it look larger just because it's a close-up to show the detail but I ordered 3 frames in 2 different sizes and the description clearly states that this frame is .75 inches wide and has glass where the other frames are 1.25 inches wide and have plexiglass. I'm only making this distinction because other reviews stated they didn't get what was described in that it was the wrong size or had plexiglass instead of real glass and that's simply not the case if you read the description and understand what you're ordering. Don't want a great frame to get a bad rap. It was packed great in a very sturdy box. 5Beyond unhappy with this frame! I ordered this to give my mother in law a nice photo of all her grandkids for Christmas and the frame is in such poor condition I'd be embarrassed to give her this. The photo they show makes the frame look a lot thicker. I can't believe that what holds the frame on the wall was way off center, and that it came off with the tape. Thankfully I didn't try to hang it, it would smashed to the ground. Not only that the back isn't even cut nicely, it is all frayed. 1My biggest disappointment though is the hanger hook listed is not attached ...I also skimmed through the description and thought this was a thicker frame because of the photo. I did however get glass with mine otherwise i would have returned. A+ for packaging, i think this would survive a 50' fall. My biggest disappointment though is the hanger hook listed is not attached to the frame, I guess we are supposed to do that ourselves??? i think it just is nailed in and im afraid that because the frame is so small (mine measures just under 3/4") that it will crack. Is that why its not on to begin with?? So I dont have this hanging where I want it because I'm afraid to put the metal clip on and ruin the whole thing. Too bad.... 2Save your money and try Aaron Brothers!For the price, this frame is not worth it. I took my chances and hoped that with it being hand made it would at least look similar. It was more wood grain and hardly looked yellow at all. Honestly, I suspect that this was just sprayed with a gun on a conveyor belt. There were no special sanding marks or anything to suggest anyone gave it its finish. It does NOT look like the photograph at all. For almost $24 and the small 5x7" size I had higher expectations. Glass was dirty with some oily substance that was hard to clean and please note that this company only uses cheap corrugated cardboard for the backing. Plus, you will need to attach mounting hardware yourself. The wood construction was the only plus. 2Beware: styrene, not plexiglass (12x24)!Review is for the 12x24" frame. Specifically "ArtToFrames 12x24 inch Black on Red Oak Wood Picture Frame, WOM0066-1343-YBLK-12x24"Product description states "Comes with Plexi Glass and a wire hang ing set for wall mount ing". I have purchased direct from ArtToFrames in the past and always opt for plexiglass.When I needed this frame for an exhibit faster than AtoF's normal delivery I decided to use my Prime membership shipping benefits, especially since this came with plexi.However the item actually comes with thin, wobbly styrene, the same as cheap poster frames. The sort of stuff that scratches if you look at it wrong. In fact, it scratched from having to slide out the three fliers AtoF stuffs between the styrene and the backboard!Frustrated and very disappointed, but under the gun, I had to run out and purchase glass to complete the project. Amazon customer service was excellent in helping me resolve this, but AtoF needs to fix their item description.Again, buyer beware: this was not shipped with plexiglass but styrene.As for the frame itself: it's OK, but not great. I expected the material to be beefier (wider) but that's my bad for rushing and not paying attention to the specs. But, being as thin as it is the frame has some unwelcome flex to it on the long edges. This gives me concern about long term resistance to warping after hanging. 2PLEASE READ IF ORDERING THE WHITE FRAMEOrdered the white frame . The picture of the white frame is very misleading, first because what I received is more gray than white and second because as others have noted the frame is not nearly as wide as depicted (actual width about 3/4 inch). I realize colors may vary but this is pretty far off. Otherwise quality OK. 3
