Love TheseI'm trying to reduce my plastic use and these are the perfect tool to carry around. They're very slim so it is easy to slip into my purse or lunch bag. The bamboo dries very quickly which is great for keeping everything clean. I was also able to fit my stainless steel straw in the pouch which really rounds out the whole kit in my opinion. The only negative thing I noticed is that the knife isn't serated or very sharp, but I don't expect to be using it to cut anything tough so that's not a problem for me. 5Great product, shitty Amazon packagingGreat product, absolutely love it and the environmental mission of the company!HOWEVER, let me just say, I bought this product, as most people do, to help reduce plastic waste on the planet. I carry it with me when going to restaurants or parties so that I don't have to waste any single-use plastic spoons and forks.So it was a terrible irony when this small product (and its cardboard tag that reads: "toss the habit of tossing out plastic") arrived at my house in a giant plastic bubble-wrap envelope that was way too big for it. I guess the company's important environmental message is lost on a company like Amazon who doesn't think twice about the planet.So if you care about your impact on the earth like I do, do yourself a favor and buy this product directly from the To Go Ware company website, or from a responsible wholesaler like The Wild Minimalist instead of from Amazon. 2Buyer Beware! What I received was NOT To-Go Wear.I've ordered this set from To-Go Ware directly from the company in the past, some I am very familiar with what it looked like. I was looking to replace the set I had, as after several years of hard use it was time. Though this set says that it is from To-Go Ware, and the pictures show what I had previously, what I received was very far from what To-Go Ware makes. Firstly, the pouch was larger, and had no tag on the side, and the carabiner was smaller, nor did it have the to-go wear hanging display tag. Worse, the utensils themselves were far inferior. The fork was four pronged, not three. The knife was serrated, where the to-go ware knife is not. Most notably, the real to-go ware is nicely sanded and smoothed. The utensils I received were rough to the touch and did not have the name. I would be afraid to use them. I'm extremely unhappy, and hope to be able to return these and buy the real ones directly from company on their website. Buying these mislabeled knock-offs is not worth saving the dollar. 1GREAT PRODUCT doesn't last longUPDATE: Not even 1 month later, and the fork split down the middle. I'm very disappointed with how long it lasted. It is still usable for now I guess.I'd been searching a long time for a product like this because I wanted something that was durable and actually worked well as utensils-- but was also slim, easy to carry in my purse, and economical. THIS IS IT! The knife cuts much better than I was expecting it to, and the fork works well too. I have found that salad is the most difficult thing to each with the fork, but it is in no way an inconvenience. Great, sustainable buy! 4I have three sets so I can choose the set that matches my outfit!Bamboo is pleasing to eat with. No clanking of noisy silverware on ceramic plates or bowls. No clanking of metal against teeth.In particular, these bamboo sets by To-GoWare are much better than other bamboo utensils I've bought. The three-tine fork is much more appropriate for bamboo, because bamboo breaks much more easily than metal or wood. The three tines are sturdy and long-lived. With my other bamboo forks that have four tines I've often had breaks.Also, To-GoWare spoons are a very pleasing shape. I like that the spoon has a little curve to it, making it more pleasant to hold. It is also a little deeper and a little less wide than other bamboo spoons I've had, meaning that it holds more for less "mouth space" so-to-speak.The chopsticks are shorter than traditional chopsticks, which I think is a plus, personally.There is enough room in the carry case to hold a grapefruit spoon as well, which I do, since it is a utensil not usually found any-ole place!Love these! I have three sets so I can choose the set that matches my outfit! 5They're like camping utensilsI took these with me when traveling to Portland, OR a few weeks ago. The knife is dull and not designed for cutting things like meat or bread/pastry. I did cut a cinnamon bun, but took a bit of effort. The spoon worked really well with ice cream, not sure how it would work with soup or something like that. The bowl is very shallow. The chopsticks were fine, and I was happy to refuse the crummy disposable wooden chopsticks at the Thai fusion place and use my own.I'll admit: I licked them clean and did not wash them. Just let them air dry and then put them back in their pouch. It's not like anyone else was going to use them. The did not get moldy or gross.So 4It's complicated!I love these utensils!! I ordered one in January and then ordered one again the beginning of March. I only hand wash them. But today when I was eating my lunch noticed that the fork is splintering! It didn't feel so well. I'm super bummed, it was even the one I most recently ordered. 3Good Quality Set of Bamboo Utensils!I bought these so that I could stop using plastic utensils to eat my lunch every day at work. I looked at a few different bamboo utensils on Amazon, and settled on these since they seemed to have the best reviews. I've been using these a little less than a month now, and they're great! The set is lightweight if you plan to carry them around with you, and the bag comes with a carabiner too. All of the utensils are good quality, haven't splintered, aren't coated with anything, and wash and dry easily. My only complaint is that the spoon doesn't have a lot of depth to it. It's fine for eating thicker things like yogurt or chili, but it wouldn't be effective for soup. Also, the velcro closure on the bag is coming off and I'll have to sew it back on. I'm deducting a star for those two reasons, but overall I think these are a good deal! I hope more people will stop using plastic utensils and instead opt for something sustainable and reusable! 4One StarBroke when I was eating a salad. 1uneven chopsticksPretty good item, except that I got this set almost specifically for the spoon and chopsticks, however, the chopsticks are extremely uneven. The twists are fine I'm not OCD about that, rather, that one tip is half as thin as the other. This will no doubt cause issues while I ea and I will update this review once I've tried it. Probably needs a sand or a varnish too as they are splintery.Edit: I didn't get a chance to try out the chopsticks because the spoon is too shallow to hold anything like soup. I expected it to be deeper but it's more like one of those wooden cooking spoons. I will be sending it back. 2
