    Fire hazard! I was hopeful about this bedspread after seeing some glowing reviews, but incredibly disappointed after receiving and washing. This spread was washed on delicate and put in the dryer on low. Knowing there were some reviews regarding shedding, I checked the lint screen 10 minutes in..... Unbelievable the amount of lint clogging the screen- and absolutely a fire hazard!!! I cannot imagine how this would be even the slightest bit durable with the amount of fibers being released during 10 minutes in a dryer on a low temperature setting! Buyer beware!!! 1Guys, you HAVE to buy this thing! I used this bed spread in a non traditional way by purchasing a Queen to lay at the end of my King size bed. That is why it doesn't go all the way to the ground like other review pictures do. I absolutely adore it! It's everything I could have asked it to be plus more! It's so beautiful in person and I get so many compliments on it! 10 out of 10 would recommend this to anyone thinking of purchasing it! The low price compared to department stores had/has me excited as well! If you see it and like it, DEFINITEY buy it!! Love love love mine!! 5Fuzz galore but completely worth it! Very beautiful! Thickness:I've had this bedspread for about three weeks. I was looking for a thinner bedspread because I don't like to be hot when I sleep. The other reviews indicated that it was thin, and it is (I mean, it IS chenille) but it's exactly what I wanted. In the picture it appears to be fluffy, but it isn't. It looks like they have placed it over a duvet to make it look thicker, which is what I may do during the winter if I need to.See-through:Some people mentioned that it is see-through. It is slightly, but it's not a problem. I currently have dark gray sheets under it and you can't see the gray; however it does give it a slightly darker look vs when I use white sheets. You would never know that I had dark sheets. I've not tried it with a patterned sheet so I'm not sure if you would be able to see through those. You can see in my pic that I have three pillows- two have gray pillow cases and the one in the middle has a white pillow case.Beautiful:It is absolutely gorgeous. I was afraid that it would be too grandmotherly looking, but I don't think that it is. It's very classic and tasteful.Fuzz:O m g. Believe the other reviewers. I should have, because it caused my lint trap to fill completely up and actually back up in my vents. Totally my fault. I was prepared to empty the lint trap after the cycle, but not during. So make sure you empty it out two or three times during the cycle! I'm still waking up with bits of fuzz on me and it's on my carpet. It's not too bad and I suspect after a second washing/drying it will improve. 5Help for sizing I can't speak to its durability yet, but it is exactly what I expected it to be. I have included a picture to help those trying to decide which size to purchase. We have a queen size bed used with bed risers. I ordered a king size and it is the perfect fit. 5Beautiful I absolutely love the bedspread. Keep in mind though, that the bedspread will not drape to the floor if you have a high standing bed (most new beds, stand higher than their predecessors). 5I love them. My spread and shams came today. I love them. I put them in the dryer to fluff them up. I have a queen size bed, but I ordered the spread in king size to get the drop to the floor and also I think it may shrink a bit when I wash it. It looks pretty darn good to me. I only ordered the shams because I really like shams, but one could make up the bed using only the spread. I would totally recommend these items to a friend. 5As good as you're hoping! I had to write this review because I rely heavily on other people's reviews. That said, I'll begin by saying that I just received my chenille bedspread and I'm 100% happy with my purchase. I smiled hugely when I opened the box because, although I was slightly anxious when I ordered it because of the reviews that dealt with size and thickness (or thinness), I knew immediately that I had made the right decision.(1) This is truly a vintage-inspired bedspread -- just like Grammy used to have. I was slightly concerned because the picture makes it look puffy. It's not.(2) It's thin but not in a cheap way. You can see through the non-embellished parts to the same degree you can see through quality, unlined, white linen pants. If you're not wearing a leopard print thong underneath, you're fine. (Ladies, you know what I'm talking about.) One of the pictures shows my hand under the bedspread, so you can see for yourself.(3) I love the fringe! The picture makes it look as though a separate piece was sewn on. This is not the case. The fringe is an extension of the bedspread, as it should be.(4) Here, I will explain the size in detail. The king spread claims it's 118x120. I didn't measure it; however, if you look at my pictures, you can determine whether or not it will work for you. I have a king (76"x80") Saatva bed with a 14.5" mattress and an 8.75" foundation. Combined with the frame, which is 8" from the floor, my bed sits about 33+" high. (I know that's higher than the math would tell you, but it is what it is.) You can see in my pics that the king spread hits the bed frame. Since I haven't found a bigger spread, this is fine with me. I will be ordering a bedskirt. No big deal.(5) Shams. Again, as you can see in my pictures, you do not need shams. If you place the spread evenly on the bed so that it hits the frame in the same place all the way around, you have more than enough to cover your pillows. Of course, if you want them as decorative accents, go for it.(6) Lint. I don't know what some others are referring to, but it doesn't appear to be extraordinarily linty. I shook it out, put it on, no issues. Maybe after washing, there'll be lots of lint in the dryer. We'll see. I wanted to put it on first so that I could take pictures and help others make their decision, since my search for a quality, inexpensive bedspread took more than 3 weeks.I hope this was helpful. I can't imagine anyone being unhappy with this beautiful bedspread. 5My husband & I thought it was beautiful & we loved the fit We are remodeling our bedroom in preparation for a new adjustable bed. I ordered & received this spread in December. I didn't place it on the bed until the middle of January. My husband & I thought it was beautiful & we loved the fit. However, when I washed the spread, the lint was incredible. It was EVERYWHERE! I spent an hour picking it off our blanket with tape, it got on everything around it. I had laid a dark colored dress shirt on it along with a black knit top for us to wear to church & the lint was impossible to remove so we lost those clothing items. I'm not allowed to return the item now as the return window closed as of 1/31. I tried to obtain return information via phone & the recording sent me to the internet. We are elderly living on Social Security & can't afford this spread, but it looks like we're stuck with it. Don't buy this spread unless you're prepared to pick lint for a long, long time. 1I Love It!! Ordered this in King size Ivory. Delivery was super fast 2 days. When I unpacked it and put it on the bed the chenille part was very squashed flat and I was a bit worried because it's supposed to be plush. So I ran it through the washer on warm and tumble dried it on low with a bounce sheet and I absolutely adore it now. The chenille part is lovely, deep and plush and I just want to roll on it.One thing though which isn't a problem for me but might be for someone. This is the whitest, brightest Ivory I've ever seen. If this is Ivory, I wonder what the white is like. 5Very nice! Beautiful! I washed and dried before using it and came out very fluffy and nice. I had to clean the lint filter 4 times and the amount of lint was ruge. I tested it with a black pants after I put in my bed and nothing came out. I guess the drier worked. 5
