Authentic, Inexpensive Factory Parts Bring Your Bialetti Back to LifeHad to track down a youtube demonstration to see you put the raised part -- a small dome I hadn't noticed -- up when you mount the metal filter into the gasket. But that out of the way -- everything is perfect. Mine is an aluminum unit and you have to be sure you get the right replacement package to go with your particular kind of 6 cup Bialetti Moka Express. Costs a lot less than I would have thought. I'm back to drinking way too much espresso as usual. The kit contains three seals and a replacement filter, Bialetti authentic parts, and was shipped very quickly with standard shipping. And don't feel guilty if you melted your seal by forgetting to put water in before putting it on the stove: others do too. It's just like trying to open elevators with your car keys and fax on the Xerox....You can also order other parts for the unit if necessary such as the funnel and handle as well as the "Guarnizione & Piastrina," the kit's rubber seal and filter plate. 5Works fine. Useful link to verify Bialetti cup sizeThis worked fine to replace a gasket that had made it through around 1000 uses over the last 5 years. (And with 3 gaskets to the package, good for another 15 years ;-)Also, to verify the size (i.e., # of cups) of your Bialetti (I wasn't sure of mine), do a google search on "bialetti gasket sizes" and there's a link to a nice bialettishop page where it lists measurements for all the different sizes. 5Perfect fit for the BRIKKAI have a 6 cup moka express and a Brikka, they are both excellent but the Brikka produces a lot of crema which is the main reason I bought it after buying the Moka express. The moka express is still working fine after 6 months of use, no leakages ..nothing, but the Brikka started leaking after only three months of use, I guess it's because of the high pressure it produces, so it was time for a gasket change.I searched AMAZON for a Brikka gasket but couldn't find any, this was the closest I found, I swapped my Mokas gasket with the Brikkas and it worked fine, so I ordered this and it was a perfect fit, you just need to keep it tightly closed for a while so that the gasket takes the shape of the coffee filter. Now your set for great espresso. 5"Molto bene, grazie" BialettiReplacement Gasket and filters, making my old Bialetti Stovetop Espresso maker feel like new. My coffee tastes like the real thing again. "Molto bene, grazie" Bialetti!!! 5Bialetti 6-cup Replacement partsI haven't used these parts yet, hope I don't have to for quite a while, I am hoping the Bialetti pot and parts hold up well. Parts are obviously the correct parts, well-packaged and as described.Update January 18, 2014: I finally had to use these in both of my Moka pots and the results have been less than desirable. Previously, the Moka pot top screwed on to a nearly exact location each time, and the coffee always brewed perfectly.Since putting these new gaskets in, it's a fight to get the pot to seal. The top doesn't screw on to the correct location, and as soon as the pot reaches temperature, steam starts blowing out the seal. (The experience was identical with both pots.) It became such a fight to get a pot of coffee that I quit using my Moka pots and just used our Keurig. Certainly not the same experience and I was finally determined to work it out.My husband finally determined that the filter basket with the coffee in it has to be EXACTLY centered, and even then, he usually has to tighten the top again as soon as it starts heating up. Now that I have used it numerous times, being very careful to get everything just right, it is starting to give me an acceptable result, though not as good as it was before.I am disappointed in these gaskets, they seem to be just a tiny bit to thick for the pot and really has turned what used to be an enjoyable experience for me into a real pita. Trying to find some new gaskets locally and hopefully they will be better. 4my espress maker works just like new!my bialetti espresso maker that i bought way back in the 80s (i think) wasn't getting a lot of use, and when i tried it recently, it wasn't working. i searched for a solution online, and came across folks having a lot of success with replacing the gasket and filter. so, i took a chance that this would help me, too.the old gasket/filter actually popped out pretty easily, and i actually washed and re-used my existing filter, but replaced the gasket. both went right in, without any difficultly. i did about 3 "trial runs" with just water with the new system, and everything seemed fine. so, i tried it with my coffee, and it works perfectly now. i'm so glad, too - an inexpensive fix, and my espresso maker is just like new. yay! 5Not working wellSince I replaced these two parts, my coffee maker is not working properly. I don't know what to do. I took it apart and put back together but it does not brew well. 2needing Bailout baskets 2.8" diameterHelp me understand what gaskets to order for my 6-cup Bialetti Moca express machine. The gasket that fits is 2.8" diameter. The replacements I ordered for this measure 2.5". I read in a user comment that the 9-cup gaskets are 2.75" so I ordered these replacements, but they are actually 3.2". I have ordered 2 replacement packages (the 6-cup and the 9-cup) and still do not have the correct size. Please advise. 1Go with the gasket measurement. This fits my 2 cups Bialetti. \_( )_/ This worked perfectly for my Bialetti. However I do not have a 6 cup version. My Bialetti makes one standard mug which is 2 cups in the coffee world measuring system. How is this so? I have no idea. After looking at the measurements shown for the 2 cups replacement gasket kits, I noted that it was smaller. The measurements for the 6 cups matched mine, so I took the chance and purchase. It was correct.Measure yours and get the one that matches it. Don't go with the cup amounts. 5Installation of the new gasket was super easy pop the old one out and place the ...In case anyone is trying to figure out the size of their Moka pot I would say that this 6 cup espresso marker holds about 8 fl oz. This gasket fits perfectly however the rubber feels a lot harder then the original gasket the came with the Moka pot. Ether way this gasket does what its suppose to. Installation of the new gasket was super easy pop the old one out and place the new one in. The new gasket should go in with very little effort. I would recommend not tightening the Moka pot too much because it tend to wear out he gasket faster then it should. 5
