    So far so goodAt this point I've had this replacement carafe longer than the original. I accidentally hit the original one on something at the curve of the base while washing it, and it just shattered. I bought this one in a bit of a panic, and so far I've been satisfied with it.The fragility may be a design flaw with every carafe, or a defect in only a few of them, I can't say. So far this one has seemed to do just fine. 5Perfect replacement for Bodum french press!I've used a Bodum french press for many years and after one too many slips in the kitchen sink, the glass carafe broke. However, it remained intact enough that I could accurately measure the height and diameter of the original carafe.The measurements listed with this replacement carafe were a great help, so I could order the correctly sized replacement the first-time around. And with my Amazon Prime membership, I was making fresh coffee again in less than 48 hours!As a woman who really, really hates to go to the mall, I was thrilled to be able to take care of this necessity through Amazon. 5Well, that didn't last long!Well, that was short-lived. I got this a month ago, to replace the carafe for my BonJour Monet; so since it was the same brand, you'd think it would fit. It was loose, so I succeeded at making sure the carafe did not fall out of the holder whenever I was pouring or washing it, and had to position the plunger exactly right for it to go down. The original carafe with BonJour's Monet lasted for years, and I never had either of those problems with it. Of course, this replacement broke 2 days after Amazon's return window closed - in the process of simply plunging the coffee. I agree with a previous reviewer that this is way too thin and fragile, in addition to being poorly sized. A cheap replacement by the original maker. 1Spontaneously broke and poured hot water all over meMy previous carafe lasted me 9 years until my mom accidently dropped it. I purchased this replacement about 6 months ago and today when I was about to put the plunger in the base of the carafe suddenly started pouring out coffee. By the time I could move it was a bit too late, it scalded my arms and leg. Luckily my kids were standing to the sidebor this would have really hurt them.I don't typically write bad reviews but I was shocked and how it just suddenly broke for no apparent reason and wanted to warn others. Like I said, my previous carafe lasted 9 years and I know how to properly take care of them. 2Not durable at all! Very disappointing!This product was delivered on 1/3/19. As I was removing it from the metal base this morning 1/14/19, it cracked from the top all around the entire bottom. How disappointing! This carafe has great reviews but is not durable at all; it was used once a day for less than 2 weeks! 1Fits the Bodum perfectlyFit perfectly into both my Bodum presses. One was a tired and cracked polycarbonate, the other broken glass. Remember that the measure "cup" in French presses equals 4 oz., what we call a demi-tasse or espresso cup. Therefore "3-cup" is 12 oz., perfect as a one-cup maker for American coffee. 5Great replacement carafeMy Bonjour press is old! I bought it used at a thrift shop at least 10 years ago. When the spout chipped, I was unhappy that my press was out of commission.As I was perusing Amazon one day, I decided to look for a replacement. Lo and behold, there it is! Ordered on the spot!When delivered, I took the opportunity to take everything apart, including the frame. Cleaned everything, re-assembled, everything fit perfectly! I adjusted the frame to fit the new glass so it is snug, but still slides out. I like the new design of the pour spout, it is a little larger and seems to drip less.I did take a look at the reviews before I purchased, I am bewildered that folks said it did not fit. Maybe the design has changed, but my frame has quite a bit of adjustment, just have to know how to use a screwdriver. 5Delicate and beautiful`I loved my Bonjour French Press when I first bought it a few years ago and I was crushed when I broke the glass decanter in January. Happy New Year to me. I ordered a replacement -- thank you, whomever for making them since obviously, I'm not the first to break it. It is a beautiful, artful piece in and of itself, but it is fragile, so I take great care to keep this one alive. Now if I could just find the copper framework of it. ... 5Fits 3 cup Bodum Brazil perfectlyI'm not quite sure why some have indicated that the 3 cup version doesn't fit the Bodum Brazil correctly; mine fits perfectly in the base and the plunger. I was shocked that it was cheaper to buy a new Bodum Brazil than it was to buy the replacement beaker. This one cost half of the Bodum replacement and works perfectly. 5Perfect replacement for Boudin 8 cup press!I just got this, and was happy it fit perfectly my Boudin french press. It seems made of a thicker more durable glass. The only thing is it does not come with the measuring scale printed on the front of it. But I have never used it anyway, since I just measure with my personal mug. 5
