    Soft and Affordable, But...Ordered these in white, but I think I got off-white. Or it is perhaps that they're just not as white as you'd expect. I figured I'd give them a shot and perhaps bleach them whiter. After I had washed them, I noticed a black mark in the middle of the duvet on one of the sides. Looks like someone marked the fabric with a black permanent marker. Since I'd already washed them there was no returning. For those buying, inspect the fabric thoroughly when you receive. I really wanted to like these as the fabric is soft and the construction is fine but for those reasons I'm not very happy with it.3I'm reviewing a duvet cover. I need to re-think my life...The pillow covers are very nice, 4.5 stars for them. The rest of this review (and score), is about the duvet cover. In short: clever idea, poorly executed.---------------------------------------------***Pros***- Very comfortable and stylish (although the 'decorative stitching' is basically invisible on the black cover)***Cons***- The 'functional stitching' is shoddy. One wash and there are loose threads everywhere. Don't expect this duvet cover to last forever.- I've never been more confused by a duvet cover in my life. Seriously, read some of the other reviews. You'll notice people using this cover in all sorts of ways (one even claimed the opening is meant to run along the side of the bed, not along the foot).- The buttons, oh god the buttons. It's a clever idea, concealing the buttons on the opening. But there aren't enough buttons, so it doesn't work. Take a look at the three photos I've attached (for the first two, I flipped the 'opening end' of the duvet up on to the bed, so I could take photos):Photo #1: What I think was intended: concealed buttons, concealed opening. Stylish!Photo #2: What actually happens, thanks to our good friend gravity.Photo #3: The duvet cover in its natural habitat. Notice that the 'fold' sags open? Too few buttons + gravity = saggy cover. An extra button in between each of the existing buttons (and on the outermost ends) would solve this. But I guess buttons are expensive?2lasted less than a weekWhen I bought this duvet cover, I also got coordinating sheets and duvet. I was very excited when it all showed up and very impressed with the look and the feel of the product. However within a week, more than half of the buttons had fallen off! Without the buttons to close it together it is essentially useless, unless I decide to sew or pin it back together....and I don't want to do that. So, since I got the bedding almost 2 months ago, the duvet and this cover have been sitting in a basket in the corner of my bedroom. I did not put the bedding on right away, and by the time that I put it on and then the buttons fell off a few nights later, it was too late to return. I don't know if it is just the way that I sleep, or if it is the quality of the cover itself, but it turned out to be a waste of money for me, now I have to shop for another one.2Good quality and colorThis King duvet cover replaces a Bed, Bath and Beyond style that was $160. retail.; purchased end of season for $60. That cover collected lint like there was money in it to do so. So far, I am very impressed with the lintless quality of this item. The burgundy is like a royal red and goes well with some Japanese style pillow covers which pleases me a lot. The fabric has a nice hand. The opening has buttons and folds over to make a pocket which hides the opening. For the modest price, this is a very nice duvet cover set. Make sure you turn the duvet cover inside out to start.5This Microfiber is Like Really Soft Cotton, Not Clingy Like Some Microfibers! One Star Demerit for No Assist Holes at the TopThis is a *gorgeous* set, and exactly what I was looking for to put in my guest room! I wanted the guest room to be pretty, but not girly, if you know what I mean. I paired the dark purple with a deep grey bed skirt, and it looks just wonderful!The fabric is soft, but not that clingy-soft like you get with so many thing made of microfiber! It's perfect!The reason that I deducted one star is because this duvet cover does not have the little slits near the top to assist you with getting the duvet in properly and fully, so it's a hassle (especially with a king size duvet) to get it all lined up inside.4Beautiful, vibrant color, but quality is what you'd expect for the priceThe color is exactly what appears in the photos, which seems to be rare. It's a beautiful rich deep royal purple color. It feels soft and luxurious and the quality seems fairly good with no obvious defects- however the material is thin and may not withstand more than a dozen or so washings- something you'd expect at such a low price. The corner ties were already a bit frayed and coming apart (will probably buy duvet clips after the next wash). Otherwise it would be a 5 star review.4It's okI like this, the material feels wonderful, only problem is, at the bottom, there is no closer of any kind, just like a pillow case.4Gray - Perfect. Very soft yet durable.Love it. I have a king Hotel comforter and seems it is slightly too big for this comforter sort of protrudes out at the bottom but I'm sure it will settle in. I had a white Hotel duvet prior and easily gets dirty and was not that comfortable. I bought this gray CC one and read lots of reviews and I hoped I wouldn't be missing a button or slot and I wasn't. Sometimes sh*t happens. This duvet is perfect and very soft. It is a little on the thin side especially compared to my Hotel duvet but that was well over 100$. For 50$ I've very happy with it. I always try to gauge what kind of person is writing each review because some people just can't be pleased. If it's missing a button, return it. Amazon has a great return policy. It's an inconvenience yeah but for 50$ you take that chance (gray was more than the others).4King/California size is TOO BIG on king comforter (love it anyway)Bought a king sized comforter, needed a duvet for it, thus ordered this!My one giant con about this is that they combine their king size with the california king size, thus making this HUUUUUUUGE on my KING comforter.It's very baggy and I can't make the bed look neat and proper, because it just looks so....frumpy.BUTOn the other hand, I couldn't care less about how my bed actually looks, but care more about how comfy it is.Which this duvet does. Very soft and comfy, and with just the duvet and the comforter, it has made my bed soooooo warm.Haven't had the chance to use the king pillow covers (don't own king pillows) but I'm sure they would be just as comfy.Buttons up on the bottom, making it easy to put in and out the comforter.I'm sure if this had been any of the smaller sizes, it would fit perfectly and comfortably though!4WHAT a bargainI recently bought a $500 down comforter so didn't have much $$ left to buy a duvet cover for it. Amazon to the rescue. I lucked out and the color/size I wanted was twenty bucks so I decided to take a chance on it. Much to my delight, it doesn't look like a $20 cover at all. The color is perfect and the fabric is lightweight (which is exactly what I wanted) and the fabric has a wonderful 'high quality sheet set' feel to it. One button has fallen off but that's really hubby's fault from vigorously shaking the duvet while holding on to that end. I'm not sure I'd pay the normal price that most colors are priced at, but I think I got one heck of a bargain for the one I bought.5
