Perfect for picking up individual pieces of fruit, vegetables, olives, pickles, etc. on a buffet or when entertaining. They hold up pretty well considering their size and cost, but a couple of people that I've loaned them to accidently broke them while forcing them open too far when hand wash them (I put mine in the dishwasher -- they hold up to even heat drying). A few haven't been returned when I left them at a party -- my dishes have been returned -- just not the tongs! I think they are hiding in a drawer at my friends' homes. LOLI will definitely purchase more.4Tongs Made of Plastic Not Sturdy or Flexible EnoughThese tongs look like they will be perfect for a buffet - but they were a disappointment. I got them to be used in a taco bar, for the items such as shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, and chopped tomato, and you could barely get the tongs to open wide enough to pick up a useful amount of food. And as it turns out, they are very small, overall, to suit their purpose. Since they all had been used in the taco bar, I didn't return them. They didn't cost much, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised - you do usually get what you pay for!
