    expected a better productI ordered this grill tool set for my husband for Christmas this year. I had high hopes because I've never had a bad product from Cuisinart, needless to say I was quite disappointed. I should have listened to the other reviews and skipped over this product. The case lacked proper/quality construction, there were imperfections on the inside of the case, as well as on the tools themselves. The handles, of the tools, were QUITE reddish/orange - not at all like the image on the website. The construction of the tools, however, seemed heavy duty and pretty good quality. I decided to let my husband check the set out to see what he thought. We returned this product the following day. Total disappointment.2An excellent kitCuisinart's 18 piece grill set is exactly what I've needed. Cuisinart is a name brand I trust for quality, functionality and value. I believe that any homeowner who wants to gain convenience, use and control over the grilling experience should definitely give this excellent kit a try.I've attached two photos. In the first, I'm holding the carrying case with my hand. The case makes it so easy to carry all of the tools from the shed to the grill; and back. No more scrambling last minute for the tongs! The second photo shows how the tools fit just so into the molded enclosure. (As they say, there's a place for everything and everything's in its place.) I can set the case next to the grill, use the tools, and return them to the case when I'm finished. Now I can focus on doing my best on the grill; instead of worrying about tracking down the random missing tool.The pieces themselves are quality-made with stainless steel and wood handles. The kit includes tongs, spatula, skewer fork, kabobs, grill brush, and corn holders. I expect these to hold up very well over time. For me, the Cuisinart CGS-W18 is a keeper!I highly recommend the Cuisinart 18 piece grill set to everyone.5Get What You Pay ForI purchased this a few weeks ago, and took it out for a spin at a tailgate yesterday. The set isn't high-end by any stretch of the imagination, and Cuisinart clearly licensed their name to an importer for this set. That being said, the utensils themselves aren't too bad. I used the tongs, spatula and grill brush. The tongs didn't have the compression force at the jaws that I would have liked, though the spatula and grill brush were fine.The key complaint I have about this set (as I bought it for portability) is the very cheap quality of the case itself. The tools do not fit properly into the case without a lot of pressure to insert them, and even then, the placement of the tools within the case itself is not very clear. With a better quality case, this could easily be a four or a five.I was not compensated or given a free product for this review. Caveat emptor.3Extra Large!Pretty standard BBQ utensils. The wood handle is a nice touch and makes it look expensive and easy to hold. The only complain is the size of these tools. They are absolutely HUGE. The tong is way bigger and longer than a standard kitchen tong, and the same goes for the rest of the tools. Almost feel like they were made for 7-foot tall people with large hands, and not regular size folks. Everyone at my BBQ started to laugh when I whip these guys out.The large size is pretty handy though, especially if you are working with large piece of meat. The large tong is my only complaint, because it's more difficult to handle than a regular sized one. The large spatula and fork will save your life if you are working with steak or hamburgers.4Really long, perfect for campfire cooking!I ordered this set specifically as camping cook tools. They are longer than I expected, which is great! I've always had a hard time finding tools long enough for campfire cooking and these def fit the bill. The boxset is heavy but that's also good as well because it just means it's sturdy.The pieces are a little hard to get back into their designated spots in the carrier and when I first washed them when it arrived, the wood stain came of a little on the corn on cob holders. The stain coming off shouldn't be a problem because like I said, I'm using this camping, nothing fancy needed.4Great for the price!I went through all the history on this item and looked at the pros and cons. The Pros are that the tools are incredible forgrilling. The Cons was the box the tools were in. So I thought, well that was a few years ago, so I am sure they improved it by now. And yes they did! The box is very organized but the construction of the box is not as finished as I would have liked.There are a few scratches on it and I don't think it is made for everyday wear and tear. Cuisinart needs to think about a molded plastic box with latches inside for everything to stay in place. I understand the box is part of the presentation butit could be improved on.4High Quality and DurableI live in an apartment complex and the grills are a short walk away so I hand-carry everything. I got this kit because the utensil there very poor quality, dirty, and broken down.I got this so my roommates and I could have my own, clean them, and not worry about them being taken and it's worked perfectly. The utensils are high-quality metal and sturdy wooden handles. They snap firmly into the case and the case is a smooth plastic that can be easily wiped down with a rag. They look pro and have gotten several compliments on the set.5Great quality product with all the tools I wanted - but I had a slight issue with the grill brush.Overall, I am happy with the set - the variety of tools that the set comes with is nice. I like that it comes with both the kebab skewers AND the corn holders (while I was perusing Amazon, I found it difficult to find a quality set that came with both - it was generally an either/or situation). Once I saw this set from a notable brand like Cuisinart, I jumped on it. The tools seem sturdy and made of high quality materials. The handles feel solid and have some weight to them, which I like - they don't feel cheap. My only issue with the set has been with the steel grill brush that is used to clean the grill before or after use. As anyone who grills knows, you have to use a fair amount of downward pressure on the grill brush while cleaning the grill, and I found that the grill brush bent backwards quite a bit while I was doing so. As a result, I had to "counter" this by using my right hand on the grill brush handle, and then my left hand on the back of the grill brush head to push the brush head down onto the grill itself. This kept the grill brush from bending backwards. Overall, I would recommend this product because I didn't see any other high quality sets that had all the tools I was looking for, and the grill brush is usable, I just wish the joint between the handle and the brush head was stronger. For this reason, I give it 4 stars, as opposed to 5.4Materials and case do not fit togetherI am so disappointed with this product upon opening the box. First, it was poorly packed in as large box and apparently got shook up up. When I opened the box, the case was open with the materials spilled out. The latches were broken off. When I tried to put the pieces back, the tongs would not fit into its case. It apparently did not fit well which caused the case to open up. I am frustrated because I was counting on a nice case to organize the pieces when I travel with it. Now it is worthless to me. The items in the case look nice except for the tongs. I am now afraid to open the grill I received because of this fiasco.2Excellent Gift for GrillersMy husband loves to grill year round. Every day he's off he's out there grilling. We some how lost his grilling set in our move though so I thought father's day / our 24th anniversary would be a great time to buy him a new set. I read some of the other reviews and I was a bit worried about the quality of the product. The only negative thing about this set is the case, items don't set in there very well, it almost seems like you have to force them but maybe that was just me. My husband has been using this set for a month now and he loves it. It cleans easily and stores away in the carrying case.5Very disappointed that the "stainless steel" tongs had rust Very disappointed that the "stainless steel" tongs had rust!! Stainless steel supposed to not RUST!!This was a Father's Day gift for my father in law and it looks like it has been used!! The rest of the set is nice but not happy of how it looks used. 2
