Great for curing 3D prints!I purchased these a year ago, for curing things after pulling them out of my resin 3D printer. I heard a lot of complaints that similar LED strips didn't use the correct wavelength-- that they were just blue LEDs being sold as UV ones. Thankfully, however, these are the real deal. They provide a good source of blacklight UV radiation for my curing chamber, and cut the final model prep time down by a lot. They're also waterproof, which is great for those times I've accidentally spilled something while working.For those of you using DLP resin 3D printers, this is a great product to use for a curing chamber. After reading reviews of other LED strips, I was concerned that these could just be purple lights. However after testing them, the spectrogram clearly shows they are UV-A with a maximum at 385 nm. So I am very happy. We will see how long they hold up.4Amazing LED BlacklightI am not finished with the project I am doing, I'll need a couple more of these amazing strip blacklights. But, as you can see, just one strip across the 12 ft. room from these two posters really makes the color pop!I am setting the strips on the edge of a bookcase and have not yet pulled the tape on the back to secure the strip, just gonna wait until I have everything I need to line all the shelves. These LED strip lights are not only versatile (as in how they can be arranged) they give a better glow factor than the expensive old style florescent tube black light and at a better cost!Tube lighting is fragile, these LED strips are not. DEEPDREAM is also professional, courteous and fast in shipping.Get yourself one ( or a few) of these LED strips and really enjoy the black light experience. You won't be disappointed.5Misleading description, in my opinion - connecting multiple strips requires soldering.I ordered two sets of these lights with the intention of connecting them together and stringing them across the front of my house as part of my Halloween decorations. There are two reasons that I am giving this product only one star, which I will elaborate on.TL;DR - good amount of light, terrible adhesive, and the only way to connect multiple strips is by SOLDERING them together.PROS:These give out a very decent amount of light. If they are being used in a small space (such as a shelving unit or picture frame), you will get an excellent result with a LOT of glow on whatever you are illuminating. Even in a larger space, such as outdoors, these put out a good amount of light and pick up any glow-in-the-dark or fluorescent surfaces in the immediate area.CONS:First off - the description states: "5.Strong Back tape: very convenient sticking in about any location, from your wall, bedroom, dining room or just about anywhere." This is simply not true. First off, when peeling the backing off of the adhesive, the adhesive strip itself came off the strip of lights. Not optimal. I was using these on the underside of my rain gutter across the front of my house. I cleaned the surface where I was going to stick the lights with alcohol and allowed it to dry. I applied the light strip on a clear, sunny day. Within a few hours the lights had pulled off in multiple spots and by the next morning they were on the ground.Second - the description also states: "2.Cut and Connect: Each 3 LEDs can be cut as a unit and the remaining ones will still be working, you can also connect up to 4 pcs (max) to extend the length." While technically this is true, this is also incredibly misleading. You can cut these light strips, but to connect them you need to solder them together. That's right - you need a soldering gun, solder, and a person who knows how to solder electronics to connect multiple strips of lights. These strips come on a spindle and at one end is the female connector and the other end is just the end of the strip of lights. You need to cut the end of the strip off, completely peel back the silicone covering that weatherproofs the lights (because silicone is heat-resistant and to solder anything you need...heat), and then solder the ends together to connect multiple strips of lights. That is NOT a task that everyone is equipped or qualified to do, especially for a bunch of holiday lights. Most string lights plug into each other if you want to connect strands and that was what I was expecting with these lights.Ultimately, these went into the trash the day after spending over an hour getting them installed. On the plus side, the adhesive was so bad that they literally fell off my house so I just had to pick them up and toss them in the garbage. These may work well indoors or for smaller projects (as I've seen in other reviews) but steer clear of these if you want them for outdoor use.1Best LED Strip availableThis is an awesome strip . Great illumination , easy to install and great customer service. This is the one to get , forget the others5Work perfect and look greatI got these lights specifically for my Vaseline glass collection and they worked perfect. The light they emit is vibrant and fills the space very well. My only complaint is that the adhesive on the back of these lights is not very good, in fact i had to use tape to keep it secured to the top of the above pictured cabinet. Other than the lackluster adhesive everything else about these light is great.5Make it glowThis is the best uv black light strip on Amazon. Worked perfectly for the project I was using it for.5Great lighting!Seriously awesome blacklights! I was a bit skeptical purchasing these lights as I have had some bad luck with other lights but when I received them I was already impressed with the packaging. They come in a fairly sturdy box. When I plugged them in they were nice and bright they way they should be. I intend to hang them on my patio for some cool lighting. Plus living near a mountain attracts some scorpions so it also helps see them at night :) The stickyness of the backing that you use to hang them up can be a little tricky as there are a couple of layers it seems, but the stickyness holds up fairly well, I tested a spot on my wall and it was a bit difficult to take it back off. 10/10 would purchase again if I needed some more ( lets be real I probably will haha) And would most definitely recommend these lights to anyone I knew looking for some cool Uv blacklights they can hang up. But yeah, these make for some nice outdoor light, cool for scorpion hunting and will look super dope for parties with some glow in the dark paint and other things.5
