    Shockingly wideYou would think that a roll of toilet paper is very standardized, that this would fit it much better...However the functionality is worth a full five star review! Extremely easy to install with anchors that bolt into the framing behind it and then the fixture is mounted over that. Well executed, my son who is very cautious with looking for handholds getting in and out of his wheelchair is very confident this isn't going to fall him.5Totally Satisfied. This is the second 24 "Delta Faucet grab bar that we purchased recently along with others in various sizes. We are extremely satisfied with their strength and the degree of safety and confidence which they provide.It was difficult to get a perfect picture because of their mirror-like shine and reflections in the room. Thanks for a great product. 5Elegant grab bar Beautiful for next to a toilet! Doesn't look like a hospital. Elegant. Just what I needed after my hip replacement! 5Finish is inconsistentThe color/plating of the bar itself has a slightly yellowish hue compared to the end pieces. Unfortunately, the bathroom remodel process was far slower than projected, and when it was time to mount this grab bar, it was immediately apparent that the color clashes with the other chrome fixtures in the shower. Due to the work delay, it's too late to return this. Maybe the bar itself is polished nickel finish, or not quite thoroughly plated with chrome? I guess I'll have to buy a different bar.1Thanks Delta for stepping up the design quotient of a mundane safety product!I purchased this grab bar in the "Brilliance Stainless Steel" finish which turned out to be an excellent match for the brushed nickel finishes of the Kohler fixtures in my Master bath. My husband installed it horizontally in our shower. The biggest problem was that he had to borrow a reciprocating drill to drill through our wall tiles, which were in actuality heavy floor tiles. That done, the wall studs matched the set of the grab bar and the bar went onto the shower wall smoothly. It is sturdy and useful to hold onto while shaving or if blinded by shampoo. Shower accidents are common and although neither of us are infirm, It is good to be safe and prepared for inevitable aging. What I like the most is that this bar does not look like it is part of a nursing home. It attractively coordinates with the other fixtures in our shower. Thanks Delta for stepping up the design quotient of a mundane product and making a safety fixture I'm proud to have on my shower wall.5Fantastic grab bar! Very pleased. It's incredibly quick and easy to refill, looks lovely and doubles as a grab bar. The roll is very easy to change, great for Parkinson s or arthritis, or other conditions that make those spring loaded bars a nightmare. Highly recommended!5Great simple idea for a toilet paper holderI'm trying to figure out why no one had ever thought of this before, what a simple but great idea. We actually installed these in all of our baths. We love these, they are so easy to raise the little bar and add the roll of paper, no no fumbling with one of the old fashioned spring loaded type or no more falling off the other bar type holders. We also like the grab bar just in case any of our guest ever needs to use it. Everyone that has seen these are fascinated with them and want to know where we got it from. It also matches all of the other Delta Cassidy line perfectly. We couldn't be happier with a toilet paper holder.5Very well thought out and strong. Very well thought out and strong.The mounting system is great.Can be mounted horizontal, vertical, or on an angle.For the most secure mounting, screw at least into a stud. I you are not able to screw the other end into a stud, the included mounting kit will very securely support the other end. 5A Great BuyGreat looking grab bar. The polished nickel finish works well with other plumbing fixtures with like finish.This is for a new home being constructed so I can't yet speak to install issues. However, I'm having the builder add extra bracing to the block wall between the furring strips which will eliminate any hollow space behind the Durock/tile finished wall.The price I paid of $39.95 is an exceptional deal with this grab bar having a $136.25 list price. The same grab bar is offered under another ASIN number by different vendors for about $65. I was skeptical about buying this thinking it might be blemished or not in original packaging with mounting hardware/instructions missing. However, it arrived undamaged and perfectly packaged with hardware and instructions included. The seller, KnobDeals, also delivered it quickly. I was so pleased with the product and seller's performance that I purchased a second one. Count me as a very satisfied customer and I will definitely buy from this company again.5Not usable. Check your package This item was delivered with 3 screw heads in the anchor...the screws were previously screwed in and cut off. And then I bought it and this item was delivered to me in un-usable condition. Otherwise looked nice. 1Nice looking but slipperyThis grab bar is lovely. We ordered two of different sizes for our newly remodeled disability friendly bathroom that has all bronze fixtures. One is install at vertically & the other horizontally.The problem is it has a smooth surface which doesn't work to well with wet hands. You must be very very careful or your hands will slip or slide across or down the grab bar. I have to be very very aware when I hold onto the grab bar that I have a good grip on it. Very worried about slipping & falling. We are looking for new grab bars that are safer.At the price they sell these for.....you would expect them to have some kind of surface to help better prevent your wet hand from slipping on the bar.3Great product. Know where your wall studs are before purchasing.This tissue holder with assist bar looks nice versus the institutional look of many assist bars. It's quite heavy and sturdy and will easily hold your weight. I bought this for my mother- and father-in-law who are in their 80's and have pulled the toilet tissue holder anchors out of the drywall twice in the past 6 months. They didn't admit that they were using it to help themselves up, but I suspected it, so I decided to get something that was built for the purpose.The downside of this unit is that it requires at least one end be mounted in a stud or solid-wall while the other can be in drywall or paneling with the supplied anchor. Unfortunately, it's not very wide, so placing it in a location with a stud where it is also useful as an assist bar can be challenging. My in-law's bathroom had no studs positioned where the holder needed to go. I had to cut out drywall, install wood blocking, and then patch, texture and paint the drywall again. This turned a 1-hour job into 4 hours spanning 3 days to allow for drying time. You'll definitely want to find your studs and plan accordingly.4Nice bar, but.........mounting this bar vertically as an ADA-compliant grab bar is very difficult if you are screwing it into the narrow dimension of a 2x4 or any other "2-by." To be ADA-compliant, two screws must anchor each end of the grab bar. The actual thickness of a 2-by is 1.5". The way the pre-drilled holes in the mounting plates are placed, it is very difficult to place two screws such that they are both anchored well in the 2-by. This is because, if the bar is vertically positioned, the closest horizontal distance between any pre-drilled hole and the center line hole is about 1". This means that if you place the two holes perfectly centered over a 2-by, each screw will be only 1/4" from an edge of the 2-by. If the 2-by you are trying to hit is not vertical and/or not straight, this task is made even harder. Further, if the 2-by you are trying to screw into is hidden behind existing tile, whew! Good luck! Last and unfortunately, the round shape of the grab bar is too big for small hands, and it is dangerously slippery for even my large hands. I returned the product in exchange for Delta 41936-RB, which is much easier to hold onto.2Classy and StrongJust installed this grab rail that looks good enough to be a washrag/towel rack. This item is solid and heavy duty, but has a very classy style, with an impeccable finish. It fits right in with my existing chrome faucets and showerhead, without looking like an afterthought, or hospital/type addon item. Each wall plate had 4 or 5 holes for screws, giving you flexibility on location and the amount of support required for your application.5Not your standard grab bar This is an attractive grab bar that can double as a towel bar. It's pretty hefty. Time will tell how well it works. The only downside is that the design of the anchor it uses was difficult to install because my bathroom has lathe/plaster walls, which are quite thick and irregular on the backside. You have to slide the anchor through a one-inch diameter hole in the wall, attach a plastic lever to a face plate with sticky tape, and pull that plastic lever forward. If the taped-on plastic pulls away from the face plate, the entire anchor can fall into the wall and you then have to buy another anchor and attach something else to the lever so it won't fall through the hole in the wall. LOL. 4Functional and beautiful Did a bathroom remodel in two of my bathrooms through a local plumber,and when I asked for these bars he ordered me those horrible looking hospital looking bars and never gave me the option to find something so beautiful. My bathroom is Victorian themed and these fit beautifully. I had no idea functionality could look so good. The price was fantastic. I am very happy with this purchase. 5
