    Leaks! I can't tell you how hard I tried to make this work. It looks great, but no matter how many times I tried, it leaks where it connects to water supply. I tried more teflon tape, turned it around, cleaned the threads, whatever, but it still leaks. Probably because there's no way to get it to screw in more than a couple of rotations. So I cleaned up the old one, put it back in--no leaks. 1Check threaded shank length Make sure the threaded shank is the right size. The shank was too short, didn't return it but will donate it. We ended up buying one from Ace that fir correctly. Should have read the description more carefully. It looked like it was well built and would have worked fine. 5Too Tight to Finish Installing The item would only turn about 1 and a half turns leaving the arm sticking straight up instead of down. If my partner who has been a contractor for 40 years wasn't so mad I'd get a picture of it for Delta to see what the issue might be. We have guest arriving this weekend and we will get a replacement at a local hardware store. I'll figure out if I'll send it back or what we will do as soon as we finish installing the other Delta products we bought. 1Measure the distance first.... Beware that if you are looking to install this extension. Measure the distance from the tub drain to the to connector of the shower outlet pipe. My shower is 7-3" from the drain and this extension is to small for this height. The extension is of good quality but too small for my needs. 5Escutcheon plate may not be usable This shower arm is very sturdy, with a bright finish. Beware of the escutcheon plate, though. It has tangs on the inside that are very tight and *WILL* scratch the finish if you force it over the pipe. I ground off the tangs off on mine because I could not fully insert the wall end of the pipe through it, but that's dangerous and I do not recommend anyone try that if you aren't familiar with grinding tools. That's why I am only giving this a 4-star rating, but it does look great once installed. 4Very good quality Very nice. Much sturdier than the one it replaced. The old one was thin pot metal looking stuff that sprung a leak at the top. Way too thin to be sold as a piece of hardware. The replacement piece was heavy and you could tell it was well made out of the box. Buy this one with confidence that you won t be buying another ever again. 5Great Match for Chrome Shower Heads I recently purchased an awesome chrome shower head that I love. Massaging Shower Head High Pressure - Multi-Function, Massage Rainfall Showerhead With Boosting Mist For Low Flow Showers & Adjustable Water Saving Nozzle - Chrome Later, I was looking for a shower arm to replace the old one that was getting a rusty look.I went on Amazon and checked on a few shower arms from different sellers. I was hesitant at first to buy this Delta Faucet shower arm and flange because the price is lower than the other brands. I read the reviews and was convinced enough to give it a shot. I m very glad I did! This arm was a good fit, and was very easy to install. The color was a match with the trim. It also came with a spool of white plumber tape so no need to buy a big roll.I would definitely recommend this product to my friends. Low price doesn t always mean low quality and that s what this shower arm is all about. 5Five Stars Basic metal shower head arm. Does the job. Attached a delta in2ition shower head to it. 5Good Shower Arm Spout With Thin Escutcheon This is a nice quality shower arm. The finish looks good on an all brass pipe. I slight 1 star because the backplate [escutcheon] is not as thick as it appears in the product picture. It is okay and the flange supports are strong enough to hold it in place without caulking.FYI: This is a short spout for smaller showers; be sure your water inlet connecting pipe is within a few inches of shower wall. 4A Small Shipping Error Results in Unbelievable Customer Service The brass finish is exceptional and I was very pleased with the shower arm. However, on the initial delivery the flange was missing. An e-mail to Amazon resulted in unbelievable customer service. Not only was I asked to return what I received via free UPS, but Amazon shipped and I received the replacement within 24 hours! Both the shower arm and flange are perfect and beautiful. The old saying is that "you get what you pay for." In this case, I received the best customer service I have experienced in my lifetime. Amazon is rightfully proud of their people. 5
