A great investment!Di Oro silicone cooking utensils are beautiful and functional. I can sincerely say that if you intend to purchase anything from their line . don t hesitate! There a good investment and you won t regret having purchased one or two, if not all of the Di Oro silicone line of cooking utensils.5It's ok.It's an ok spatula but it's just a bit too stiff for me. I've been used to a Blendtec spatula that molds to the inside of a blender jar and beautifully scraps the sides. This has the nice long handle and one pointed side but doesn't mold to the sides of a jar as well. Also, it is not as wide and cupped to catch what is being scrapped.3Disappointed. Not flexible at all.After seeing all the positive reviews and recommendations from America's Test Kitchen, I bought this and the large version. I don't know what everyone else does with a spatula that they think this does so well, but it doesn't come close to what I want in a spatula. It is nice and solid, and works well for stirring, but so does a wooden spoon or just about any other utensil with a long handle and something wide on the end. What I want in a spatula is a thin and flexible edge that conforms to the shape of a jar, bowl, or pan to scrape the sides clean, while being stiff in the handle and the rest of the blade. The handle and entire blade are very stiff, and while the blade is a little thinner than the blade on the large spatula, it is still too thick to scrape the sides of any container that isn't shaped exactly like the spatula. If you are looking for a spatula for scraping jars, bowls, pans, etc., I recommend looking for something else more flexible.2Excellent spatula! I am super-happy with this spatula. It cost more than I would usually pay, but it is absolutely perfect for reaching every last bit of food in my blender, even food that is stuck under the blade. I love that it is completely coated in silicone, so there are no crannies for germs to hide in.A lot of silicone gives off white crud, which I've read indicates that the silicone is impure. This spatula does not do that. I don't want white crud in my food, so that's one more thing I like about this spatula.I have some other Di Oro spatulas that I love too, so I knew this was likely to be a good one. 5Love these.Love this. The only downside is that the TIP is the most flexible part, with the sides being much less flexible. This means I have had to change the way I scrape around the inside of a bowl. I sometimes find myself turning the tip on edge and pushing it around the bowl that way. Kind of awkward. But, or making scrambled eggs in a frying pan, etc., it is great - both this size and one larger I got. It was GREAT at mixing a bowl of cookie dough! Other scrapers I have always feel like they are about to break, so I have to switch to a wooden spoon, etc. But, I can now use these scrapers for all things cookie dough! Happy buyer.4Not actually resistant to odors I purchased this for my partner to use for cleaning his french press. I ran it through the dishwasher and it came out with a light white dusty film, so washing by hand might be preferred by some people. The spoon also holds light odors of his coffee after being ran through the dishwasher, so not sure the odor resistant claims are any more true than the dishwasher safe claims. The spatula is a nice weight and the perfect color for coffee use since the dark color shows no visible stains. 3Best spatula I've ever owned, hands down!This spatula is of the best quality of any spatulas I've ever had. (And I've purchased quite a few in my lifetime) I bought it because I don't like the way my old spatulas either have wood handles or the plastic/rubber ones come apart. Supposedly, this is to be able to clean them easier. However, I find the hole that the handle fits in cannot be cleaned thoroughly. Not only that but the head would come off when using for things like stiff icing or cookie batter. This spatula seems to address all issues. Very sturdy and very well made. Super easy to clean with it's sleek, seamles, and one piece design. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but I loved it so much, I came back to order the 3 pc set. As soon as they get here, I'm throwing all of my other spatulas away!One more thing. The company is awesome. I had a coupon code and it didn't work so I emailed them just to let them know. Not only did I receive an immediate response, but the quickly refunded the amount of the coupon. Two thumbs up!5Chipping after only a couple times useonly used a couple of times and the thing is already chipping off on the end.poor quality certianly no better than my 4 dollar spatula.1Awesome, sturdy, nice lookingVery attractive and very sturdy. Also they are very useable and come in enough sizes and quantities that you don't have to keep reusing one in a single meal prep. High temperature capability means I can lay it across the pan or in the skillet without worrying about it melting. Cleaning is easy because it is seamless on the outside... nothing to disassemble like a spatula with a wooden handle and no seams to collect bacteria. If you can afford these, get them. I just wish they came in a dark blue color.5Work well, but bad water spottingThere s good and bad with these. I like the one piece, seamless design because there s nowhere for gunk to collect. They are stiff enough while being flexible where they touch the bowl. However, they are a little bendy at the very end with the hole because the stiffener inside doesn t reach that end. The biggest issue I have is that they look dirty when they come out of the dishwasher. Maybe it s because they re black, but they get really bad water spots, as you can see in my photos. I don t have this problem on anything else...I use a good detergent and rinse aid that make my glassware come out of the dishwasher crystal clear. So it has to be this material. I still use them because they work well and I know they re clean, but I d hate to have someone come over and grab one and think that I don t clean my utensils.3Misleading descriptionThere is nothing wrong, as such, with the spatula itself. It is an excellent spatula. I already owned the complete set of three spatulas, and the thought of having one with a longer handle appealed to me.Here comes the rub. The description for this particular one says that it is "long-handled". I took this to mean that the handle would be longer than average for example, 13 or 14 inches, or at least longer than those in the set.Well, it is a regular-length spatula, exactly the same length as two of the three in the set (the third one in the set is shorter). The head of this one is narrower than the one in the set, so I've decided to keep it. But be advised that there is nothing "long-handled" about this spatula. "Narrow head" would be more accurate.3Excellent SpatulaAs a retired professional chef, this spatula does seem to go above and beyond others. I say this because I replaced all my rubber style spatulas at one time. In three months, only the DI ORO spatula remains without nicks, cuts or any compromise. I do cook a lot, but that is a good test of this product. If you think it is more costly than others, be informed that it has a lifetime warranty. I will now only purchase spatulas from this company and will make sure my family, friends and colleagues who are still in the professional cooking business know about DI ORO. I know what I'm talking about.5It doesn't hold up any better than really cheap spatulas! Nice looking and hefty but it had a small ripple/wrinkle near tip which I thought was cosmetic but was actually a defect in plastic. That spot developed a small crack and the first quarter inch of the tip peeled off. For the price I would have thought it was better than the 2 for 1$ spatulas you can get. 1
