Pretty but disappointing I bought these to replace my elderly kitchen towels. these are pretty, but they are also somewhat thin and the "terry" is not much better than the old towels. They seem to be made ok, but I don't know how they will hold up. Not worth sending back, but I am looking for other, better towels. 3No absorbency, avoid! I'm rating one star, because these towels are not absorbent AT ALL. My roommate and I purchased so we wouldn't go through so many rolls of paper towels. We thought this was not only healthier for planet Earth but also much more economical. After use by both of us, we both concluded that we ended up reaching for the paper towels, because these were leaving our hands relatively wet. Both of us were hoping to use these whilst cooking when one needs to wash their hands multiple times in between touching meat, veggies, etc... but there is absolutely no way you could do that with these, because after one use the absorbency is literally 0%. If you are looking for towels that are good quality with good absorbency, you'd best look elsewhere. These are a total waste of money.ALSO, for reference, I bought the teal and white towel set. 1Dont give bad review if you ordered wrong product!!! I normally do not write reviews but I felt I had to on this product. I noticed a lot of people complaining about size of dish towels and giving bad reviews. It gives you options to choose dish cloth or dish towel and clearly states sizes. If you do not read description it is no one's fault but your own. I read description and chose the dish towels which are 16x26. I washed them as soon as I received them, they did not bleed or noticeably shrink. I can not say how they will hold up as I have only washed them the one time. I will come back and change review if needed later. If you are looking for 12x12 dish cloths then choose them but don't complain about dish towels when that's not even what you ordered! 5Buying again! I'm on my third set of these. I'm tough on cloths and towels. I have a towel hanging on the fridge door at all times for wiping my hands. I don't always wash my hands before using it; I'll grab the towel after peeling and before cutting vegetables (carrots, celery, potatoes, etc.), and while working with buttery things, oily things , sauces and the like. Now, after over three years with this last set, there are no holes, not a lot of fraying, the color is still fairly good, and they are still absorbent.So, why am I buying more new ones? They are old and dingy looking and have stains. They have limp-itis now, and no longer keep a crease. They gave it a good run, but after all the (ab)uses, and all the many washes and drying...into the rag box they go. 5Perfect addition to my kitchen These towels are a great thing to have in the kitchen. They aren't extremely absorbent,as they leave a thin film of water behind on the first swipe but they do a good job removing most of liquids I spill or products I clean my counters with. They've been washed several times and only have 1 towel that has a string loose,which is easy to cut off. I'd buy more of these when the current ones I have are in a little worse condition 5Spot-on! These are the kitchen towels you want Awesome kitchen towels! These are soft, thick, and really absorbent - everything you could want in a kitchen towel. They've held up wonderfully in wash with no shrinkage or corner turn-ups. Coming back for more in red and throwing out all the thin, non-absorbent towels I've been "tolerating". 5Poor quality I received the towels quickly, and they are pretty and were well packaged, but, after washing them with other towels before having used them even once they came out of the washer snagged and stringy, with seams opening up alongside the edges. I am extremely unimpressed, and would not recommend them. 1Very, very poor quality! Absolutely horrible quality! I bought these towels believing they might be acceptable kitchen towels, but that was a mistake. After receiving, I washed them in the laundry by themselves on delicate and in cold water. The color began to bleed and the towels began to fall apart with one wash! Strings and lint were everywhere. See pictures. I would definitely not recommend, but I am very thankful for Amazon's fabulous return policy! 1Nice towels, These are the perfect compliment to our black and white kitchen. They are absorbent and holding up through 3 washes so far.Good item for the price.They are not thick but not thin either. If you are looking for a thick, super absorbent towel these aren't them. If you are looking for a towel to wipe your hands on as you putz around the kitchen these are perfect. 4Not what I expected These have an odd texture for cotton terry. I am hoping that as they go through more washings they change and gain that traditional terry feel. They are very thick but they feel more like those microfiber things. It remains to be seen how they hold up. They look great, but they don't have the cotton texture I was hoping for. 3
