Good as a laundry basket? No, but maybe for other things...I bought this for a bigger clothes basket as the one we had currently is so small it overflows, and because the color went with the bathroom decor.However what we got was a basket that is not rigid. When you get it, it is flat, like a cardboard box that is collapsed. Take it out the package and then pull it open to have it stand up, but when you let go, it just flops back flat, folding up like a pretzel. So in our case, when we put it in the bathroom linen closet, it flops closed on the floor and you are unable to throw dirty cloths into it.Unless you want to constantly bend down and open the basket until its half full of clothes, then this is a pain. Not that I think the basket is completely terrible though. I am sure it can be used to store other things, but if you are looking for a clothes basket (which is one of the roles it is advertised for and the wrapper it came in had a sticker on it that said "Laundry Bag"), then IMO you are better off looking elsewhere for something a bit more rigid. 2Search no more....I must have looked for storage bins/baskets for days before purchasing this. I was concerned about the quality of this since it's woven. Well, my concerns were unmet! It's a great product, sturdy and functional.I purchased the large grey/white bin and use it to carry things up and down the stairs. As a mom with little kids, the house gets messy and upstairs toys and items make their way downstairs and vice versa. I have loaded this bin with all kinds of things and it's held up under the weight and performs wonderfully. I love it so much I will be purchasing more! Did I mention it looks great as well? It's well made, looks great, and gets the job done! 5LOVE!!I love this so much!!! It s very cute and fits my color scheme in my home and I like the price is low enough that buying several to use in a closet or organize linens etcHowever I m noticing whenever I fold it up it crease and some of the gold is falling off and it s showing that it s best to keep it up right and full and not let it fold down or be so empty without anything to help shape itIt will just droop and creases will be very unpleasing to look at if you bought for aesthetic purposes .So it s a matter of what s going to be the use of the tote. 5Cute, but a little too collapsibleIf you aren't planning to fill this completely, buy a smaller size or find a different basket. I ignored all the other reviews about how collapsible this basket was and regretted it once I received mine and saw how right they are. IT DOES NOT STAY OPEN BY ITSELF. In that regard, the product doesn't match the pictures. I was planning to put stuffed animals in my basket, and was a little disappointed that one side was bulging out while the other side had a large divet where there wasn't enough weight to keep it standing upright. Fortunately, the basket was shipped to me in a HUGE cardboard box, the kind you put poster frames in. The box seemed comically large until I realized that by cutting it, I could make inserts for my basket. With some help, it now stands on its own. It's a really cute product and seems sturdily made; the rope handles are a nice touch. But if you want a self-standing basket, move along. This ain't it. 4this will get better over time as they are used more frequentlyI use these bins (one for each child) to collect their stray belongings downstairs. They carry the bins up to their rooms on the second floor each night and empty their belongings out. It has been helpful to have a place to collect their things so we are not running up and down the stairs all day long. It has helped us to stay more organized and not so cluttered downstairs. My only complaint is that the bins don't stay open fully if their aren't enough things in them. Hopefully, this will get better over time as they are used more frequently. Nice that they can collapse though if need be. 4... the sides weren't so flimsy but they do look nice!! They are big enough to conceal bathroom necessities as well as be decorative.As well, they are super sturdy. The rope handles are well made. The sides are not hard andcwill fold in but its not an issue for me as i have items in them that hold the sides straight. However, i have noticed that as i use items up and haven't replaced them yet, the sides so stay up on their own.I bought the largest one to hold a complete pack of charmin from sams club. Others hold extras of body wash, lotions, etx. I have extra towels and sheet sets in others. I no longer see the clutter! You caved...Honestly- this could be super duper cute... but I can't get past the part where it looks like a crumpled flat bottom tote bag sitting on the floor. Sides are all totally floppy and cave in or bag out. Colors are cute, handles are cute, seems well made. But unless it's completely full of something (clothes, toys, etc) it does not just stand open and nice like that photo. Black is not such a straight black, due to the fact that the other lighter oatmeal colored fibers are woven all through it, too. It looks cute, but just throwing out there for those who may be wanting a solid true black stripe. 2High-quality itemThese things are wonderful. Be aware that they don't stay open, as other reviewers have pointed out. I don't mind since I'm opening and collapsing them frequently, but if you're looking for something with rigid sides then these might not be the answer. I ordered three different colors for storing and hauling my kids' things and am incredibly impressed with how sturdy and large they are. I've filled them with wet beach towels (very heavy) and carried them, loaded them into and out of the van, and they hold up amazingly well. Being able to fold them and store them in the closet is a plus for me. Very happy with this purchase. 5
