DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM!Complete garbage. The ink was completely dry from a sealed package. I am warning you DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM! Amazon will not allow me to return it which I do not understand. I always felt safe with Amazon before, now, not so sure. Out $14.
1ummmm, noDisappointed. The color on all 4 markers seems to be light. I'd normally say that's the way they always are but I have a 12 pack of both black and red. The black especially in the 12 pack is much darker than the black in this pack. This one is almost grey. Two stars because I like the holder.
2Good set of fine tipsI have an office white board and end up making technical diagrams and dense notes on it frequently. The standard chisel tip markers make lines and writing that's just way too thick for this kind of work. These Expo ultra fine tips are just what I'm looking for. There are a few things to consider before buying them though:- The blue and black markers make nice boldly colored lines, but the green and red are a little light.- If you hammer your markers against the board, you'll quickly mash the tips on these. If you're careful though, they hold up nicely and make nice clean lines even after months of use.- These are not great for a conference room. If people will need to see your whiteboard content from far away, consider broader tip markers. The eraser is pretty standard, works well, as does the board cleaning fluid. The odor is not noticeable and these clean up well. I'll buy this set again.
4Teachers using whiteboards: This thing rocks! The cool part of this is the plastic holder that can be attached by adhesive strip or magnetic strip. Using the magnetic strips, I put this thing at the top of my whiteboard, out of student reach. The pens just rest in the slots, so they are easy to remove, but if you want this to hold your pens securely through the next earthquake, find something else. Works great for me!
5Nice setI like this set for the value, but some of the items were not quite what I was expecting. I wasn't sure how I'd like the ultra fine tip after having only used a chisel tip, but I knew that was too large. Had it to do over I would probably gone with the fine pen, but I'm getting used to these. The colors are vivid the eraser works well, although I must say the material that the eraser is made of is a little lacking in quality! I purchased the set because the price was so good for pens, cleaner and eraser, and for that I would say I got a great buy.
4Avoid the "This ruined my wall" by putting it in a smart place...So, I only just got this, but I want to review it anyway.I bought it to go with this WallPops calendar: http://amzn.to/1xqXQ0b , for which I wanted more colors and something to hold them. After reading reviews on so many dry erase marker caddy/holders, I decided on this one.I didn't use the magnets, because my calendar is on my wall. What I did use was 1 strip of the double-sided adhesive to place on just the left side of this caddy, and I stuck it onto the calendar on the wall. This way, I avoid the "This ruined my wall because that crap just doesn't come off easily," but I have it right where I need it to color-code my dry-erase calendar.I think it's great. It's sticking well.If you're in my situation, I highly recommend it. (my review for the dry-erase calendar linked above can be found on that page. I recommend it, as well.)
5Love these for detail writing, especially on project related stuffI don't know how I've lived without these fine tip pens! They've been extremely handy in drawing out fine details for various projects I'd work on. It feels like I'm using a ballpoint pen on the dry erase board, which is exactly the feel I've been looking for.Well worth the money spent, as I almost always get Expo products for my dry erase needs.Ink doesn't smell too strong and wipes away cleanly using the supplied eraser or just a dry paper towel.
5Finally! A true fine point dry erase pen!One of my complaints is that the "Fine Tip" dry erase markets are far from being fine tip. This set of "Ultra Fine Tip" pens includes a dry erase eraser as well as some white board solution that will help get rid of the nasty left-over marks after erasing. The colors are fine and the product works great, but beware, like all markers, don't press down hard when using the marker. It really is a pen and not sufficient broad enough to use as a presentation pen on a wall-mounted board.I use these pens with a laminated form and in that regard, they are perfect. I suspect they would also work on overhead projector slides for presentations, but not on wall-mounted white boards used in classrooms.
5Everything you need to write things on a white board. These are your standard dry-erase markers with an ultra fine tip. I really like being able to write at a normal size on my Quartet Whiteboard, 24 x 18 Inches, Silver Aluminum Frame (S531) at home. They work great and have lasted almost a year already. The fluid and the eraser has worked as expected as well.Included in this set are:*7 ultra fine tipped markers*standard white board eraser*small bottle of cleaning solutionPros:*Markers last a long time*Everything functions like it should*All one packCons:*NoneAdditional Considerations:Be aware this is an ultra-fine tip. If you want standard-size dry erase markers look elsewhere.Overall: 5/5 stars (>=.5 rounds up, <.5 rounds down) => 5 starsIf you have any further questions regarding the product in my review please leave a comment below and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
5Poor quality "organizer" -- broken upon receiptI specifically chose this product over other options because it comes with an organizer for the markers and eraser. Due to the low price I wasn't expecting the best organizer available, but this organizer is basically just a thin black plastic that you may expect as packing material to keep products in place in the box. The organizer already had a long crack on one end upon receipt, even though the box shows no sign of damage. Based on the type of material I expect that the crack would spread with use. For the price I would probably normally just discard the organizer and use the markers and eraser. But my daughter asked for new Expo makers, etc as one of her Christmas gifts so I don't want to give a gift that is broken.... I'm sure the markers and eraser are fine, but very disappointed at the quality of the "organizer."
