    Cute! But flawed.Lets face it the product is cute and definitely a conversation piece. I also get positive comments and feedback about the looks as for function it varies. It is perfect for people who need to limit their salt intake. It only has one escape hole for the salt shaker vs the pepper shaker that has 3 holes. To put the content in the container is no fun. A lot of the time I struggle to put the salt in or end up spilling the salt. :(3High quality, detailed, functions well,I gave this to my brother for Christmas. I hope he has used it, but have to base my review on my own experience cause he hasn't given any feedback. First: this is CUTE! So cute, I almost kept it for myself, and am probably going to order my own now. It also works. I tested before gifting, so can verify that it is functional as well as adorable. Very pleased with this purchase as well as my experience with this seller and would recommend it/them to friends.5Cute but not functionalI fell in love with these and had to have them. One BIG design defect...unless you can store them on their backs or perfectly tilted they WILL spill salt and pepper everywhere. And every time you knock them over, they spill. And every time you bump them... (you get the point). They're also a pain to fill because if you fill more than 1/3 of the way it leaks out the hole (which is smack dab in the center of the star). Then I actually put it on my wish list for Christmas, and when no one bought it for me, I broke my piggy bank and bought it for myself.I was a little hesitant about the actual functionality of it, due to the reviews and size of it. I've used it since receiving it and love it. Not sure why reviewers want it to give them more salt and pepper. That would be way too much. There is only one hole on the top of the head for the salt, but since I've seen numerous salt shakers with that feature, it didn't strike me as odd. Both pieces stand on their own two feet, and separately as well. It's a sturdy little set.As far as filling it, the fill holes are tiny. I do not own a mini funnel so all I did was make one out of parchment paper. It was easy to fill using that trick.I am very happy with this. My other half laughed hysterically at me, but the kids will love it when they see it.Thank you Fred & Friends for an awesome set! I love it!5Brilliant idea? Yes! Functional? Not so muchYes...it is super cool to use your magic wand to season your food, but I have no idea how to store them. I tried putting them in a glass, like pencils in a pencil holder, but the salt and pepper crept out while resting in there. Laying them flat seems just as ineffective. Really, yes, but the novelty of it prevents me from having any regrets.4A Magic Wand for a PrincessLoved the idea of this set, had to have it, bought two one for me and one for my friend. The quality is not all that, plastic a bit cheap looking. Packaging was nice, in a clear box. Filling it with salt and pepper is a pain, you have to untwist the stick from the star part, the filling hole is very small, my kitchen funnel was too large, had to use a paper. I can do it but a bit of a pain, would be nice if a funnel of some sort was provided.3Due to the novelty I like them but the salt poursI fill them half full and stand them up in a small vase on the table. The whole reason I bought them was to add 'magic' to a picky 3 yr old's food. The pepper is just fine (as we like pepper) but the salt pours out. I tried filling it mainly with rice and barely having any salt. It still poured. Now I haven't a clue if it is food safe really. But I ended up placing a bit of GEL super glue on most all of the hole. That worked along with the rice left in the shaker. This product would be perfect of the salt hole wasn't roughly an 1/8 of an inch. Small so it doesn't take up a lot of space but holds a decent amount of salt and pepper. It is breakable ceramic so if you have stone counter tops beware. We're on our 2nd set as hubby killed my first one knocking him over. Great gift for someone with a fun sense of humor.5
