    Fine for a cooling rack and surprisingly heavy dutyI purchased these about 4 months ago.My intent was not to use them as just cooling racks but in the oven as well for steaks and such rather than a broiling pan. Easier to clean.When they arrived they were neatly packaged and surprisingly heavy duty. Much sturdier than I was ever expecting. I use dollar tree racks to cool my cookies and some antique ones from my grandmother.I needed something to stand up in the oven. These have done great. I did notice that recently one of my 2 has started to rust. A little worried about that. I am going to get some steel wool and see if I can clean it up.Overall for what I bought and what I got I am very happy. They are the size described and they would make top notch cooling racks for any kitchen.*March 17th, 2013 - Steel wool cleaned up the rust nicely. They look as good as new.*May 24th, 2014 - We have a new home and a dishwasher. I wanted to update and let everyone know that these have held up very well to washing on both the top and bottom rack of the dishwasher and come very clean.*June 2015 - These are still in the same condition that they were a year ago. Because we had had these for so long without issue I won't update next year. Happy shopping. 4Best cooling racks I ve ever owned!These are very well-built, very sturdy! I m impressed not only by the strength of the support rods but also the strength of the mesh grid by itself. It could definitely support the weight of any pie. Keep in mind, however, that these are small. Look at the dimensions and make sure it will fit with your needs. But since they come in a two pack, that makes them big enough for cakes as well as pies. These are the best cooling racks I ve ever owned! 5Commercial Quality; PERFECT Size--Ideal for Cooking for TwoI just got these last week and I've already used them about 20 times (I cook a LOT). I needed these for a "smaller footprint" cooling rack for my husband's favorite breakfast treat (extra crispy hash browns) and these are IDEAL. The quality surpassed my expectations for the price and I'm very happy with their size, rigidity, and usefulness--actually, I could not be happier. Real world size of these racks? 7-7/8" x 10".I even used one of the racks on a small cookie sheet inside my toaster oven to crisp a piece of reheated fried chicken and it worked GREAT, allowing the excess grease to drain away onto the cookie sheet, rather than into hubby's tummy. That's a win in my book--he liked the extra crispiness and I liked the considerable oil reduction. It's AMAZING how much extra fat drained harmlessly away. I think it would be great for roasting small quantities of meats, as well, though mine will be mainly used for "cooling" jobs like hashbrowns, cookies, etc. These are much higher quality racks than I was expecting for the price and they're strong enough to double as a trivet. Keeps them up off of the counter and so they don't steam. Even my two pound loaves fit perfectly on one of the two racks. My bread maker allows me to bake up to two loaves at once so having two of these racks works perfectly for my needs. Great size - I have a small kitchen with tiny counters, for which these are perfect. Food doesn't seem to stick too badly to them and so they are easy to clean. I bet they would do a good job with any baked good you were trying to cool. 5Almost perfect fit for Cuisinart TOB-165 toaster over.Works great. Totino's pizza rolls turn out perfectly in 10-15 minutes (5 bake, flip, 5 bake, 3-5 cool). Only issue is crumbs in the small crosshatches, but that is no surprise. Other items also bake better when not directly on the pan because the hot air circulates around the food better. 5grid misalignedBeen looking for cooling racks to fit my Breville mini toaster oven http://www.amazon.com/Breville-BOV450XL-Mini-Smart-Element/dp/B006CVVA7I/ref=sr_1_3?s=kitchen&srs=2586360011&ie=UTF8&qid=1400785190&sr=1-3&keywords=Breville. Unfortunately when I received the racks the grids on one of them were soldered wrong creating a misaligned grid that prevented the pan from resting flat in the broiling pan or on any flat surface. They were usable but since I paid for a new item that I thought would be free from defects I'm returning them. 1Not for sous vide useI bought this for sous vide in the Rubbermaid 12qt container (see photos). Although it was a perfect fit, I don't recommend this product for this use. I left it in the water overnight as a test, and it rusted at the welds the first night.Aside from that they didn't slide around my half sized baking sheet. They also didn't sit quite level.Learn from my experience! They aren't perfect, but they were cheap. 2Not for baking sheetsI bought these thinking that they were insert racks for a quarter baking sheet. Add others have pointed out in reviews, they're a couple inches short on the sides and top so they slide around in the pan. This is because they ARE NOT MADE FOR BAKING SHEETS. They're an insert for the bottoms of half hotel pans like these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B012BP6COY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_7.UCBb0PG7KPTThey work fantastically for those pans. Don't make the same mistake I did and look at the dimensions 3These work great. They fit side by side on a baking ...I bought these specifically for broiling hamburgers in the oven. We've been without a grill for a bit, so when we have hamburgers, they're broiled in the oven, but I didn't have a way to drain the fat. These work great. They fit side by side on a baking sheet, and the grids on the racks are small enough that the meat won't fall through when placing the raw patties on them. Plus, they're dishwasher safe. They serve our purposes perfectly. 5Commercial cooling racks sized for home cookingFinally! A commercial grade cooling rack that will fit inside the bottom of a small broiler pan. The recipe I have for tilapia calls for placing it on a wire rack in a sheet pan. I cook for two and find the bottom of a small broiler pan is sized perfectly. The racks I had were flimsy and only had wire running in one direction. The fish tended to fall through between the wires as it baked making it difficult to extracate when serving. These 8x10 cooling racks are perfect for the job. The wire is sturdy and it runs in both directions creating a square mesh that supports the fish. What's more they're chrome and oven and dishwasher safe -- a must for me. AND, they're a bargain pricewise. If small is what you want/need, these racks are IT! 5
