Great For My Can Am X3 Side By Side
These switches are very heavy duty and have close to 12 gauge wires. The switch is very firm and crisp. I used these for a dome light and a footwell light in my side by side and I dont think I could have picked a better switch.
5Was easy to mount in electrical boxUsed switch to switch power on and off to a meter I attached to the battery of my back up sump pump. Was easy to mount in electrical box. Wire leads make it easy to connect to meter and battery.5Good no issues, strong, good wire leadsGood toggle switch, it is sturdyI have it working at 110V with a 5 amps load, which is well under the rating.I did not have any issues during the installation, and they perform well. The weather boot its excellent for the intended use, as I have it outdoors.5Works great, but the attached wiring is only 14awgI bought this switch to control a big LED light bar on my tractor. It works great but I expected heavier gauge wire for a 20A switch. - the wire on it is only 14 awg. It's not unsafe, but in a 15A application with 20' of wire, the 14 awg section will be a bit of a resistance bottleneck.4Water tight seal over switch. Sealed wire contacts.I purchased the switched to be used inside of a refrigerator, to use as a bypass to the auto light switch. The switch worked perfect with it's moisture seal over the switch and sealed wire connectors on the backside. I would recommend this switch to anyone needing a sealed switch being used around a moist area.5A good item for use on 120 v. or 12 v. applications
I selected this model in part because of the bare-end wires I could solder to the smaller-gauge 12v wire in which I wished to place it. Nice and solid quality. (I did not need or use the waterproofing feature). Good value!
5Works great
I use this on my boat for interior light. Scout 162SF. In line fuse I purchased on Amazon too. Does its job. It's not exposed directly to the salt air and water and I've had zero rust issues. Very durable. Highly recommended
5Great quality & expect it to be "rainproof"
Manufacturing quality seems excellent with attached pigtails making it easy to immediately use. I'm not finished my project installation so its water resistance is untested, yet it seems the switch will be rainproof.Yes I'd buy it again.
5Good qualityI have a fifth wheel RV toy hauler with some fairly large lights on the inside and outside. It came with those little rocker switches that most RV's have but on the larger circuits they got hot to the touch and seize up shortly. I decided to try these heavy duty toggle switches and I am very happy with them. They stay cool all the time and work great. I just ordered another one to replace the rocker switch on my electric hot water heater because that old switch is so stiff I can not turn the heater off any more. Will be buying more for my boat also.5Very Good/long wiringSwitch has heavy throw and positive engage and disengagement. The waterproof cover threads over the switch and will stay on. Wires are long at about 8" to help wiring it up. Buy a couple of these because they are way better than most auto parts switches.5Nice switch, but has some flawsI like this switch. It's definitely heavy duty and the posted installation instructions were very helpful, however there are two main flaws that grind my gears.1. The rubber boot gets pulled off extremely easily, which leads me to believe it doesn't have much of an affect waterproofing the switch.2. Although the boot appears to have a hex nut underneath, like what comes with the switch if you don't need it to be waterproof, it actually has a round nut underneath the rubber so I could not use a standard wrench to tighten it. I had to bust out the good ol vice grips to get it more than finger tight.3I find the effort to toggle it on/off to be easy as the toggle handle is longerI bought this switch to replace a new one from Ace Hardware that failed after just two weeks. The Maxbright switch is well made and rugged. I find the effort to toggle it on/off to be easy as the toggle handle is longer, typical of switches capable of switching 1500 Watts.A previous reviewer remarked that the switch required extra effort to toggle. I find that not to be true. The effort is slightly below average for a switch of this power rating. I chose to use the rubber boot over the handle, which makes toggleling iteven easier.5These were the highest quality switches I could find on AmazonFor the price of a regular toggle switch at Jegs or Summit, you can get this high quality, sealed toggle switch. I've had two cheap toggle switches fail on me so far and I wasn't going to risk getting stranded again. These switches have a nice click to them and it take a good amount of force to push it in one direction. This will not be in an environment exposed to the elements, but I like that the rubber boots are included. I would not hesitate to purchase more of these for my car.5not waterproof, not even water resistant.Let me start of saying I installed this switch the right way. It was placed above water level in a kayak. So essentially, it really only came into contact with water spray or drops. It was never submerged. I took care to follow the directions in the install. I even went a step further and sealed the edges of the boot with silicone as well as around the edge where the post meets the platform its mounted to. unfortunately, the switch leaked from the bottom near where the wires exit from. It quickly corroded through and shorted out. When I say corroded im serious. The switch essentially disingrated after a few months. I cleaned it off and dried it after every use it just wasn't enough.2
