It's in my collection.I purchased and returned 4 stainless steel french presses and have used 2 others. I'll keep this Highwin. The unit is well built and feels sturdy in my hand. It's also well finished and shiny from inside out - no cosmetic problems. It came with 2 in-place stainless steel screens and 2 additional ones in sealed plastic bag. When the lid is on the carafe and the plunger is pulled all the way up, the capacity of the carafe is 12 1/2 oz to the bottom of the filter, which means it can make 11 to 12 oz of coffee. I do not experience difficulty dis- or re-assembling the filter parts. I use the bottle brush costed nearly $2 at Walmart to clean the interior of the small carafe and also to brush out the coffee sediments on the filter parts. I previously purchased a stainless steel french press for 70 dollars, the only difference at this costly coffee maker compared to the Highwin is that it makes 8 oz of coffee.NOTE: I paid full price for this merchandise and write this review unbiased.5PERFECT LITTLE POTI adore this little coffee pot. I have a 34 ounce glass French Press that is very good but the coffee has to pour through plastic which I don't like. Also, I wanted a smaller one to save space and be easier to clean. This one is perfect. I get a nice large cup of coffee, it is easy to use and easy to clean. It has a nice weight to it and the double wall works great to keep the outside from getting too hot. Time will tell as to longevity, but it looks as if will last.5serious design flawi was about to go "mount st helens" until i rigged my OLD french press center rod to accommodate the pitcher depth of this one. you have to understand, if the length of the center rod isnt long enough, the mesh plate (when plunged) wont press the grounds tightly enough, therefore, a POOL of otherwise delicious coffee will be left behind in the bottom. i can see this working for people who will be using it to medium/full capacity but i make single serve. i need a longer center rod to reach the grounds to create a firm press. luckily i like the way i just used my old part interchangeably. or else it'd be sent back. conclusion: i got lucky. but bear in mind what ive said! and highwin: what the heck was this company thinking?!3Everything I expected I bought this french press for my office and I like it.Although described as 3 cups (much to some reviewer's disgust), I am happy with the size as it makes one large cup as I expected.I much prefer the stainless to the glass alternatives that tend to crack.I do agree with other reviews that the thread at the top of the stem means that the knob unscrews before the mesh strainer which makes it near impossible to properly clean the strainer.The double mesh strainer is great, letting only tiny bits of grounds through. 5Great for people who only need 1 cup of coffeeThis French press works especially well for people who only need one cup of coffee in the morning. Please note that 8 ounces are in what most people would call a cup, so this French press is a lot smaller than one would expect for "3 cups". It is indeed double-walled, however you will notice some mild heat loss through the walls while the coffee is brewing. Initially the screen will scrape against the walls of the press in a bit of an unpleasant way, but this goes away pretty quickly with use. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this press!5Absolutely love itI am so glad I purchased this. As for a lot of the negative comments most didn't read the actual description cause it tells you exactly what size it is. It is perfect for home and travel. This is the best thing I've purchased in a long time.53 STANDARD Coffee Cups (4oz each)I was weary at first having been spoiled by Amazon Prime and only ordering from anyone with free two-day shipping but I decided to make the plunge considering these for for almost double this price anywhere else.No regrets so far.The only complaints about this pres from the reviews were from people complaining about the not knowing the size they were ordering. The X-cup advertising for any coffee maker advertises for the STANDARD for coffee cups which is only 4oz and NOT the 8oz imperial unit of measurement. To remedy this confusion they almost always (or at least they should) follow up with an imperial and/or metric volumetric measurement. Fortunately I knew this so I got the exact size I wanted.LooksGreat. Personally I wish it were a brush finish on the outside as well, personal preference and I'm too lazy to wipe down mirror finish steel every time. However you're not paying for a Frieling or anything so you can expect the usual minor imperfections (an 8oz Frieling press costs around $60). The handle for my plunger is noticeably crooked which is why I knocked off a star but for $25 I am pretty happy.FunctionDelicious. It makes great coffee. No odd tastes from the first use (I washed it before use of course). I've even frothed some milk for my coffee to see if it could(yes it can). Although it is advertised as a 3-cup coffee maker, it will only hold a little over a cup of water, to allow room for the lid and plunger to sit on top. I drink only one cup at a time, anyway, so it's good enough for my purpose. The double-wall design keeps the coffee piping hot even if I forget and let it sit longer than the recommended 4 minutes. So far I've found that I've had no problems with coffee grounds getting into my coffee, unlike other French Presses I've tried. A plus is the extra filter included with this French Press. Cleanup is easy. A very good value for the money.5There is something (maybe from the welding) that rattles inside the walls of the small & large press which is super annoying. I'm disappointed. 2Great Quality and Strong Smooth Coffee - Totally Worth ItPleasantly surprised at the thickness and quality of this adorable tiny french press coffee pot. No experience with this, went on internet to see how to do it. Easy! maybe not as easy as my automatic, but worth a few minutes extra time to get away from plastic. The coffee turned out too concentrated because I used 4 heaping scoops to the 12oz (will try 2 next time). Also the full 12 oz does not return, there is maybe 3 oz or so that stays soaked in the grounds, but this amount is just right to fill my very large mug to almost 3/4 and leave space for milk. The taste is definitely different than automatic, this french press makes it smooth as silk - and NO grounds in my cup! I may order the larger one for when I have company.5It's 1-Mug size, and the Coffee Tastes BetterVery high quality through and through. Bought this after breaking many a glass version. Thank you Highwin. 5A little disappointed-Not knowing what a French Press coffee pot was, I ordered this thinking the pot had its own heating element- One must heat the coffee after it is made in a microwave. The pot is adorable but you don't get three fours oz cups of coffee out of it because the press doesn't go all the way to the bottom and so soupy grounds are left down there- I like it but a little disappointed - I think I will like it more in a week or so. I think it will be healthier than ingesting plastic from traditional coffee makers.The stainless steel quality is very nice-3
