    Nice I purchased this box a while back and finally cleaned out the shed and got the dishes in and put in this box for storage inside the house. It is easy to see where my Christmas dishes are now ;) I have a 12 piece place setting and the dinner dishes and cups fit in the box. I will be ordering more so I can put the whole set in these boxes. Love the color, it will be easy to see where the Christmas dishes are. Sturdy enough where I will not worry about breakage. 5Very nice for storage and some protection for dishes only used occasionaly The sizes were good fits for our dishes; we got a couple of different sizes they offer. I liked the pads for putting between the dish layers...just wish they were a bit thicker. The 'boxes' had nice, strong handles....still, I wouldn't overload the clothlike boxes. They seem strong and durable and offer a little extra protection. Very good for storage in a cabinet or cupboard. Or, to move a short distance from one home or apartment to another...such as in the back seat of your car; not in a moving van. I wish the company made a stackable "moving" bin or box with rigid plastic that you could fit two or three of these storage boxes into a moving box, that were stackable. That is, the containers were slightly larger so you wouldn't crush the dishes when you stacked one moving bin on another. I couldn't find "boxes" that fit, or that were strong enough to be stackable. For the purpose they serve, I was happy with these. 4sturdy china storage I love these boxes. They are sturdy, stackable and attractive. Unfortunately, I had to return some of them b/c they did not fit in the space I have for them & I agree with other reviewers that the listed sizing is a bit hit or miss. So, I'll list some examples of what did and did not fit.Salad Plate Storage Chest:Rimmed soup/pasta bowls - 9" in diameter - when I put them in the Salad Plate Storage Chest - the bowls touched all 4 sides and made the box bulge a little. Probably would be fine, but my wedding china is platinum rimmed, so I decided not to take a chance. I used this size box for my 8 1/4" Salad Plates - which left plenty of room on the sides, but not too much where they would slide around excessively. The next size up is the Dinner Plate size - which fit my 10 3/4" dinner plates perfectly with right amount of room on the sides, but i thought they were too big for my rimmed soup bowls. I could have padded around the bowls w/ some bubble wrap and that would have been fine. It's a judgement call.Stemware storage chests: Ok, this is where I had to spend a little time testing sizes. The sizing & description of the boxes & inserts were a bit confusing - even having read many of the reviews & measuring my stemware before purchasing. My suggestion is to forget the listed "glass name" of the box and focus on the measurements. For instance, my Red Wine crystal fit in the "Goblet" box, but not in the "Balloon Wine" size, etc. I'll use Waterford Marquis Vintage crystal stemware for reference sizes. I'm listing what I measured, but if you want to look up for the exact measurements, I've listed their product name. Also, I bought 1 of each size stemware storage chest so I could play around with them to see what fit. I'm glad I did. I ended up returning a couple and ordering more of a different size.Goblet storage chest: Fit my Full Body Red Wine (also fits White Wine & Iced Beverage - see my notes below).Full Body Red Wine - base 3 1/3", bowl diameter approx 3 1/2"- 3 2/3", height 8 3/4". About 1" to spare on the top & room to spare on sides and top. As I mentioned, these did not fit in the "Balloon Wine" storage chest - the width of the bowl did not fit in the dividers at all - even alternating the bowls facing up & down - just too tight.Champagne flute storage chest: This size actually fit my champagne flutes, white wine & footed iced beverage goblets.Vintage Flutes (champagne) - base 2 3/4", bowl 2", height 9". There's space on the sides and the top of the rim is *just* below the top of the box, but it closes with out touching the rims, so it's perfect.Vintage Classic White Wine - base 3", bowl 3", height 8 5/8". Space on sides and top. Note - this also fit in the Goblet storage chest - but had lots more room to spare on sides. Again, it's a judgement call, but I opted to use the champagne size box as it had less "play" on the sides and it was a little cheaper than the Goblet size box.Vintage Iced Beverage - base 3", bowl approx 3", height 7". Space on sides and lots on top. Note - this also fit in both the Goblet & the Balloon Wine storage chests - but had lots more room to spare on sides. Again, it's a judgement call, but I opted to use the champagne size box as it had less "play" on the sides and it was a little cheaper than the Goblet and Balloon Wine size boxes. 5Love the extra bit of protection I currently have guardianship of the family china, first owned by my great-grandmother. In past years, it was stored in plain cabinets, never to see the light of tacky overhead fluorescent lights, for more than a decade without even felt between them. I always worry about the collection being accidentally damaged, so I went on a quest to find a sturdy storage solution, as opposed to the flimsy quilted options I see everywhere. I only have the one box, but I'll definitely be getting more. Each box comes with felt circles to prevent the plates from scratching each other and I love the plastic window. 5Nice storage box, but don t think it will hold more than 6 charger plates. I bought several of the china storage boxes to store my Christmas dishes and a set of china that I don t use very often. In general, I m happy with them. My chargers are 12 inch Fiestaware plates. It s a lot bigger than what I needed, but not tall enough. The description says it holds up to 12 charger plates. It held 5 of the Fiestaware plates. They are thicker than most plates. I have glass charger plates that are what I would consider typical charger plate thickness. It fit 6 of them. FYI - I had an extra coffee cup box. It fit 10 of the Fiestaware charger plates - and it was cheaper as well. 4Good quality. This hard-sided storage box is great and I am really happy with it.It fits more than 12 saucers for me. I haven't counted, but it's more like 16 or 18.It is wider than needed and so I put some extra padding on the sides.The square shape is easy for storing and the window is nice.The only point I have for improvement - the felt dividers need to be slightly larger in diameter. They are something like 1/8 inch smaller than my saucers and so they allow the saucers to touch, which I don't want. I solved the problem by using some other dividers I already had.I already bought a second one. 4Very sturdy. Held my 12 Christmas dessert plates Very sturdy. Held my 12 Christmas dessert plates, 7-inches, with room to spare. Came with 12 circular pieces of felt to put between each plate. Handles are sewn on securely and you feel confident carrying by them. Will be buying more for my other dishes. 5Very nice container - love the holiday red! I had bought a set of these items to store my Christmas Dishes in from a large department store about 2 years ago and paid much more! Now I'm storing more dishes and came to Amazon to see if they sold them (silly question, of course they do!). When I saw the red, I decided to buy it and will put the Christmas Dishes in this one (the red one) and use my older container (white) for the other dishes I'm storing. These make storage easy, clean and compact. No more cardboard boxes which fall apart eventually and with these, all my dishes are neat and compact on my basement storage shelves. Love the red for the holiday dishes! Not that looking into the window on the side of the container or lifting the lid is a problem! 5Measure Carefully. Don't Go Just By the Description Well, I am both pleasantly surprised and completely disappointed. Firstly! What a great storage item! I received this to pack away my holiday charger plates and I am very impressed with how sturdy it is. HOWEVER... it comes with 12 felt dividers, and the description says that it fits 12 plates.It does not fit 12 plates.There is no way it fits 12 plates.This fits 6.Not really happy that I have to buy a second one, and to be petty - unless I wait the 1-3 months for delivery I won't have a matching set. 3Great for everything, not just dishes!!! But NOTE that dimensions are slightly off... I spent a lot of time looking around for fabric storage cubes that would fit in a cheap but cute shelving unit that could not fit your "typical" cubes. I did not buy these for plates or bowls at all - I actually use these to organize small essentials that I use daily (socks, underwear, PJs, workout clothes) for easy access. These worked perfectly! I bought three more after I received the first one and was impressed with the quality. I love that I can see what's inside easily. My only issue is that the width is less than stated - 8 1/8" long and wide, not 9". I still think you would be able to fit 8" plates in this, however, and the slightly smaller size actually ended up being necessary for the space I needed. But be aware that you won't be able to fit anything wider than 8" MAX in these. 5
