Worked well for my needs
These worked really well for my 4&5 year old class at VBS. They have a matte finish. I drew the outlines and lettering on them, and the kiddos colored them with crayons. Quick tip: number these on the back of each puzzle (i.e.: all 12 pieces of one puzzle will have the number 3 on them, etc), then if the kids get their puzzle pieces mixed together you can quickly and easily figure out which pieces belong with which puzzle.
5Make and design your own puzzle
Its exactly what is says it is...made of carboard, white on one side and brown on the other. I think markers work best and a word to the wise. Number the back to help smaller children assemble a puzzle that does not have much detail and store each puzzle in its own ziplock baggie. A fun project to make, not as fun to assemble. I have a 4 and 2 yr old so this was a too many pieces to re-assemble at this age but my 4 yr old girl loved the idea of coloring her own puzzle. I decided to turn over and number (which is a good counting lesson also) before we broke it apart and stored for later playing time ( as in much later)
3Great basic art supply for unlimited creativity!!!!
These are great for crafty types! I used mine to write a special message for my daughter announcing that she would be getting a trip to Disney for Xmas. The catch was she needed to put the puzzle together (which was in a wrapped box) in order to find out her special present! It was fun to make (for me), fun to put together (for us) and fun for her to receive!!!!
5Excellent for Wedding
We bought these puzzle pieces to use as the guest book at our wedding. I was a bit nervous because people mentioned they were thin and flimsy, but nope. They're a nice thick cardboard and exactly the thickness I'd expect from puzzle pieces of their size. Each piece is about as big my palm. I'm fairly small, but the point is there's plenty of room to decorate and write on them. Do note when they say 12 per package, they don't mean 12 puzzle pieces; they mean 12 sheets of 12 puzzle pieces. We ended up have to return several packages because we didn't realize.
5It's not for sublimation!
I am sure they are great it's not what I needed. It came up under sublimation and it can not be used for sublimation. I wasted my money.
1Great Family Art Project
We used these to do a family art project with my child and his cousins. They loved it. Easy to use with colored pencils, sharpies, crayons and regular markers.

Nice puzzles but turned out to be too big to fit in the easter eggs I had, no worries I brought them to Grandmas house and all the Grand kids got to design a special puzzle. Lots of fun!
4MAKES LEARNING FUN!
My 3 year old son has gotten into jigsaw puzzles and is also obsessed with the alphabet and the solar system. I looked everywhere for an alphabet jigsaw puzzle and came up empty. I got these and so happy I did. I made a sight word puzzle for him and sent a picture of it to his preschool teacher and she ended up paying me to make her one for the preschool. It was a little bit of trial and error but I have found things I liked and didn t like about them.PROS:- Creativity/ options are limitless- Perfect size- Easy to store- Great tool to encourage fun learning- Works well with markersMy thoughts/ things I learned- It will most likely get dirty fast if you leave it white and don t seal it. As it is an uncoated surface.- Painting it was a mistake but it was probably due to that puzzle already being taken apart and put back together so the paint seeped in between the pieces making the pieces swell and not fit well together. I spent a long time trying to sand them back down to fit.- I tried 3 different sealers:Mod podgeAcrylic paint sealerSpray acrylic sealerThe spray sealer was the only one I would recommend because it doesn t collect at the connecting areas like painting it on does. I would also recommend completing everything on the puzzle before taking it apart for the first time.

These puzzles were great. I used them for a project and the price was so good I was able to buy extras. All the puzzles are the same which is nice so if you mess up a piece you can replace it with a blank piece from another puzzle. Some of the puzzles are a little rough on the surface but once colored in it is hardly noticeable. Also, the puzzles have a lot of cardboard shavings and dust. Especially when you break it apart. Do it on a surface you can sweep or vacuum easily. I would recommend these for art projects.
5Artistic Freedom
These will be used in a tutoring/mentoring program called Whiz Kids. I love the idea that they can be freely creative as they create their own designs, and not feel compelled by "expectations" or intimidated by blank spaces. It will be interesting to see if they can construct their own puzzles more quickly after they are disassembled than they can someone else's.
