    Thank Goodness! Finally I have found exactly what I need. So far it is doing the job I needed. It is working better that the rubber ones and I feel like it is a durable substance. It is also a standard size and of the right thickness and flex to be able to get a good grip. 5A flight attendant's dreamNice compact size! I work as a flight attendant and purchased the Jar Wrestler to help with opening liquor mini's. In the past I have used a silicone hot pad which worked perfectly well but was too big to fit easily in my pocket. This is a good size and can be shoved into a pocket without issue. It is a little more sticky that I am accustomed to. The material is very thin which can lead to your hand hurting if you are exerting a lot of squeeze on the item you are attempting to open, but in the long run this little item saves my hand from being rubbed raw at the end of the day. Completely worth it!5Not what I was expecting!It worked....I like that. I didn t like the fact that: 1. The discs are smooth rubber....there is no scoring or ridges on them to help with gripping. 2. The smooth rubber feels sticky on your hands?? Maybe once it is out of the cellophane type sleeve, it will feel differently.I was just expecting more I guess...I have very arthritic hands so need all the aid I can get in opening jars. I also have smaller hands which makes it difficult to get enough grip.3Toxic SmellWill be returning this product. It works fine, but the Chemical smell is nauseous & toxic. They are in individual sealed plastic bags. I took them out of the plastic bags & aired them for three days. I still can't stand the smell. I don't know what type of chemical was used to make these Jar Grips, but the product manager should check into this.1Very thin and sticky!I purchased these to use as jar openers. This product is just ok for jar opening. These do not have nubs or grippys on them instead they are sticky. So sticky they stick to anything and everything and are very, very thin.3AwesomeNever thought a jar grip would be worth writing about, but this is an awesome product. So much better than those other cheap textured rubber ones that dry out as they get older and leave little grains of rubber on the bottle when you try to open a tight cap. These silicone grips make quick and easy work of opening tight bottles. The three pack was perfect - kept two and gave one to my mother, who also mentioned how great it worked for her. Also think the color combination and fun graphic are a fun bonus to the function.5Helps you get a grip!After my kids broke the handle on the bathtub faucet for the third (!!!) time, I decided to purchase this item rather than spend the money to replace the entire mechanism. To turn the water on without a handle requires a good, strong grip; without such a grip, the remaining piece of the faucet thingy will not work. This item is a little sticky and very grippy, so my children and I can turn the water on despite the missing faucet handle. Eventually, I will spend bigger money to replace the faucet. Until then, the small money I spent on this Jar (faucet?) Wrestler was worth it.5Waste of moneyThese did not grip enough. My hands don't work well, thanks to Rheumatoid and I need help opening jars. I was hoping these would but I was sadly disappointed. Waste of money1Wonderful I had one if these for years but it got dried out. When looking to replace it, I thought about Amazon and did a search. Found this one. Received it quickly and right away started using it. I couldn't cook without this lifesaver. My son loves it too. He was trying to open a jar of pickles and I handed this to him. He opened it right away. Now he wants to open every jar in the house. Great product! 5Best jar opener ever! I had been looking a long time for a GOOD grip jar opener, and this is it. It has super grip, unlike some of the rubber products. I used to have a piece of silicone like this my sister gave me 15 years ago. She's an OT and had patients use silicone pieces to help open jars. My piece finally tore, but never lost its grip. This product is exactly like the silicone piece I used to have. Just keep it in a clean drawer (I keep mine with my pot holders) and it'll last for years. I'm ordering more for family members. 5No Regrets After Purchasing!I have very rambunctious dogs who bug the crap out of me when I'm trying to do work on my laptop because it means they cannot get my attention so I started giving them frozen baby food jars and it worked wonders! Except it also worked the bad kind of wonders on my hands trying to get the darn things open especially when I make my own concoctions.I didn't want to pay more than $1 for a jar gripper but after hurting my hand trying to open a jar I compromised and paid the $4.99 price and am SO HAPPY I did!Pros:-it works VERY well!-it's the perfect size where it is not difficult to store and not too small to be useable.-decent design with the colors (hate boring tans and whites)-my hands don't hurt anymore and my dogs are happy so all in all great!Cons:-I'm kind of cheap so I would prefer it to be $1 but honestly I think that about everything so make of that what you will5Protect your wrists no matter your age!Silicon is the best material for grip! I had TFCC injuries on both wrists and ecu tendinitis due to athletic pursuits. I needed splints and it caused loss of grip strength and twisting in particular was impossible but this grip works the best for me. I know people who use circle grips etc but those require a little more force than this does. I have them in the car. I take them to hotels. Even if you don t have wrist problems which I didn t have before, you can spare your wrists with these.4POWER WHERE AND WHEN YOU NEED ITWas actually surprised at how well this little item worked, having grabbed silicone before - that was part of other products - while looking around for something or somebody to help me open a stubborn jar but getting nowhere. This has worked every time despite my having diseases that negatively affect the power (or lack...grrrr) in my wrists. I held back a star (would have made it a half if possible) simply because of the irritating & unnecessary design. But to each their own; someone else wouldn't be bothered by this element at all. A simple, slightly darker red alone would have been fine by me. The product works well, as intended...so, good for its' designers and makers! 4 and a half stars from this household.4They work great You get two, and they work, so if the price is right for you, buy them! They arrive stuck together, so don't be fooled, there are actually two of them if you peel them apart! 5
