Sturdy, but slightly bigger than expectedThese are nice vegetable cutters and I would recommend them, but be aware that they may be too big to use on some vegetables, such as an average size carrot. I have been trying to find some carrots that are a bit bigger to use with these, since the shapes cut from average carrots tend to be clipped at the corners.They're still cute, though, and I can use them on plenty of other things, such as pickled beets or mango slices. I'd recommend hand washing and drying right away. I haven't had problems with rust yet, but in my experience, most cookie cutter-like tools don't do well if exposed to water for very long.September 2011 update:I previously mentioned these may be too big to use on some vegetables but figured out if you slice a vegetable, such as a carrot, at an angle, you'll have a bigger surface. Not sure how long they'll last. Worth it, though.5Perfectly cute shapes from foodThese 1" cutters are super cute, fun and easy to use and clean. They are just the right size for cutting veggies like cucumbers and carrots and fruit such as kiwis and strawberries and even cheese. Some are a little small for cutting the smaller end of the carrot (you have to use the upper half of the wider part of the carrot to get a full shape). My kids really enjoy eating food that looks cute. It's a great tool to use to make food fun and enjoyable, even veggies disappear when I pack them in my kids' lunches. They are sharp enough to cut through veggies effortlessly and are easy to store in the plastic box they come in.5cute and useful!These are great I use them so much. They are useful for cutting out shapes for lunches or even for making tiny cookies. The metal can hurt a bit when using it on a more hard ingredient (ex. carrots) BUT I found out that the cap of a gatorade bottle fits perfectly on the top of the cutters.5Wonderful I had wanted something like this without spending too much on it as I was unsure how often I would use it, etc.. I am glad I purchased these! they are great, I could see them hurting your hand I suppose as some reviews claim but I have not had that issue yet. Take it I have mainly used them for coring apples! I cut the apples into rounds and use thee to deseed them. Makes them so cut and easy to remove the seeds without wasting too much of the inner apple. I like them, you may as well. Worth the price for sure, great buy. 5Just as described and cute!The edges are not super sharp, but they're not too dull to cut through most veggies, either. You might have a bit of a rough time with uncooked carrots and the like, but enough pressure will get you through. Anyway, I'd buy these again. Pay attention to the dimensions if you have a specific size in mind. If I recall, they were a bit smaller than I expected when I purchased them two years ago. Easy to use and easy to clean, though, so I can't complain!5Fun for packing lunches! They're a lot of fun to use to keep a kid's lunch exciting. I've used it for carrots, cheese, bread, cookies... It's a bummer that there's a little waste leftover from the extras but it's not much.They do come apart a little bit where the seam is. I would have done it anyway. They rust in the DW.4Super cute little cutters!These cutters work perfectly for adding a little more fun to my vegetables and fruit in my meals. Great for bento boxes because they're on the smaller side, would even be great for mini cookies! The only slightly negative thing is their construction, the circular side where you would press down with your hand is a little sharp because the metal seam is not flush, but using a towel works fine for padding and extra protection.4Love itI got it so I can tempt my kid to have more enthusiasm for eating, but it also has a million other use now: it can be used for making sugar-cookies (to punch out the middle), make decoration out of practically anything edible when inviting guests, and when i was not paying attention my daughter swiped it for her play-dough art to cut out flowers (took half hour negotiating and 2 extra bedtime story to get it back).. My mother loved it, too, so I got one set for her as well, but now as they are not able to share it with my sister-in-law (somehow they always need it at the same time) I just might have to get yet the 3rd set..The cutters are strong, easy to clean and use, really a good thing to have around the house. It can cheer up even the most ordinary food when some cheese or beet or kiwi flowers are thrown on top of it.5very cutevery cute; I used them to make tiny PB&J sandwiches. in my flower bento(The reason some aren't cut as well as others is that the bread was more crumbly than normal, not the tools falt)The apples were cut great in my mouse bento.The bananas were harder to cut, but only because they are so skicky, lol.
