Not completely smell-proof but, close enough If you're storing something with a strong odor, you can detect a subtle scent of what's inside if you hold the container right up to your nose but, sitting on a counter and/or in a room where there is at least a little air circulation, it isn't capable of smelling up the room. Over time however, with no air circulation, it probably could.Overall, it works perfectly well enough for me. 4Exceeded my expectations I was a bit skeptical when I first bought this container, but I will never use anything else to store my herb! Literally no smell escapes this, and it has kept my herb as fresh as when I bought it! It fit a half ounce of herb perfectly in the container, so if you are buying larger quantities, I would either buy multiples or buy a larger size. Great product! 5great for researchers great for researchers. I like to put this one inside a glovebox and bring my sample inside this container. Then the container will be with low-pressure inert gas. After I take the container out of the argon glovebox, it is airtight therefore the inside can maintain argon environment. 5Didn't Work to Preserve Testing Strips Bought to store diabetic testing strips for husband who curses the tiny vials they come in as he has larger hands/fingers that cannot manipulate getting one strip out at a time without spilling/dropping. Dark - would keep the strips out of light, airtight (allegedly), and we added a desiccant pack in with the strips for humidity/moisture control.. but guess what? It does not preserve the integrity of the strips - glad we didn't dump the whole vial or more into this container. The strips we did store in this error-ed out on the meter. They are too expensive to experiment further. We did thoroughly wash, disinfect and let air-dry upside down before placing the strips and desiccant inside. Nice small container for other things I'm sure, just not for the purpose we purchased for. 3Ugh! Bought a size too small but would buy again! I gave this minivan 4-stars only because of my own mistake. It seals great and you can hear the air coming out. Matter of fact it s difficult to close unless you hold the button so the air can pass through. It works great for what it s supposed to doI bought this as a cheaper option to store eyelash extension glue. However from the pics you can see that it is just slightly too small to fit the height of average glue bottles. The width seems perfect to hold three but the 1.4 oz container will be a tad too short. Go up a size and it should be perfect!!! 4Didn't last long. After a few months of light use, there is no longer an airtight seal. This means that it is now useless to me. I can pull apart the two pieces with ease and also can push them together without pushing in the button that you are supposed to be required to push in to close the cylinder. If I can contact the company and they can help then I will change this review. 1Perfect Vac Container! - Best Deal I found on Amazon! My last one was too small so I went with this one because it was cheapest of them all while still being a reputable mini vacuum container. I can hear it pushing the air out when I close it--everything stays fresh and I cannot smell anything once fragrant spices are contained. It's the perfect storage container for the average user. Again, this WAS the best deal. Very happy--what more could I want other than free product inside? Highly recommend--your spices will stay sticky-fresh and the container is durable and will not fall apart!Arrived true to image in two days. 5Major flaws Bought this after seeing my friend had one. (It was very hard to open without pressing the button to let air in - awesome suction power). However, when mine came it looked just the same, but there was barely any suction. The top part would simply fall off just by holding it upside down, and it made me wonder if the button s seal was broken, but I tested it and it seemed fine, which lead me to the conclusion that the product has a major design flaw. Who knows, maybe it s just a defective unit..? I ll definately be returning it and maybe getting one of those OXO airtight containers instead 1Unique, convenient, small storage container The MiniVac (10-30 grams) is great for storing small quantity OTC pills. For example, I usually buy large bottles of supplements (e.g., fish oil pills) to save money, and then fill the MiniVac bottle for easy access. This saves cabinet space. I store the big bottles and refill the MiniVac as needed. I really like the airtight vacuum seal. The cap is super easy to open and close. I am giving it a 4-star rating only because I think the containers are a little pricey, but the quality is excellent. Also great for traveling. 4Very nice well made airtight container!!! This thing is great I have one and ordered this one. Just keep the sides clean and give it a twist when twisting it on at the same time as pressing the air release button line it up and it will last you a long time if you take care of it made of plastic not flimsy sturdy plastic. For 10 bucks it s a nice buy. 5
