    Nice additionNicely made wooden tongs. I'm comparing these to a metal set with neoprene on the end. The neoprene melted when the pot got hot. I'm sure the wooden ones will hold up much better. It makes a nice addition to my Wooden Spoons.5Broke after only a few usesOnly had these tongs a few weeks, used them 4-5 times to flip chicken while cooking and the darn thing cracked tonight and is completely unusable now.1Weak tong design - not going to be around longer than 2 months.I purchased this product in early June and received it in early July; however, that is not the issue that I have with this item -- the issue is that they are lightweight at best and cracked down the middle on one side of the tongs. I'm not sure if I want a replacement for this due to the length of time for shipping from China. I just want another set of bamboo tongs that aren't going to break after 4 uses. 3 stars because I liked it during the 4 times that I used them; otherwise, I'd really give it 2 stars overall for the workmanship quality.3Great choice Great buy. Haven't broken yet. Use almost on a daily basis. 5I have been using it for months, and it ... I have been using it for months, and it works well. The only thing can be improved is: if the opening can be wider, that will be more handy. Maybe the top joint part can be made by metal to gain more opening angle? 4Broke too easilyI used these about 15 times. Most items were light, like chicken pieces, noodles, etc. I always washed them by hand with warm water and dish soap, then air dried them. They broke far too soon. I'm going to look for some that have the wood paddle but use some other more durable material for the bend.2Wooden TongYou don't easily find wooden tongs so I appreciate this tong,however I wish it was a little more flexible with closing together better. It's a bit tight which makes it somewhat difficult to pick food up and turn over. However lately I did notice I was able to can handle it better than I did on using it the first time. So maybe it needs to be broken in.4Very pleased. Works just like it should.I like this tong because it is large, doesn't open too wide (like those stainless steel tongs) and It won't scratch wood bowls like the stainless tongs. I find that gripping it in the center works best, its very springy, and the "teeth" on the edges helps grab sliced vegies easily (like tomato and zucchini). Even works well for flipping foods in a frying pan or serving spaghetti right out of the pot.I do wish it wasn't lacquered, as I prefer bamboo utensils to be natural so they can be oiled. But I'm sure the finish will eventually come off with use and washing.Some reviews said it snapped right away, but I have found it shows no cracking or splintering at the closed end. Been using this almost daily for a month and I'm glad I got it.5Very sturdy and I like themVery sturdy and I like them. Tad long for what I wanted but round out my variety of bamboo tongs. Everyone should have some. There is a special need for these when metal just isn't right.5Hard to open and closeIve never owned a pair of wooden tongs, so perhaps this is standard, but these are a bit hard to open and close. For me, they are more for show..it will match a nice wooden bowl that goes with it for serving3Too delicate to be really usefulWell in my efforts at being more eco-friendly with my kitchen purchases, I ordered this tong. In the picture it shows the maximum opening width; so for things like steak, and larger pieces of food, it's not really easy to use. It doesn't really allow you to grab things tightly either... food seems to slip out no matter how tightly I squeeze the tong.It's definitely more durable-looking than the other tongs I see on Amazon, but I would recommend sticking to the good old stainless tongs for most uses.2OK for the priceI can understand some comments about the bamboo being rough based on their finishing. Mine were smooth and usable. I would have preferred if the opening of the tongs were wider. It takes a bit of extra work to remove items from a wok otherwise.3
