    Poor qualityProduct arrived and the lid had been attached incorrectly so the box wouldn t close right so I returned the product and they replaced it with no problem; however, when the replacement arrived it was not good either. The wood was already coming apart in places so I returned it as well! 1Removing plastic film from recipe holder7/30/19 Just received item. Overall love the box. Wood could have been sanded little more smoothly but still very nice, not a game-changer. Need to treat delicately when carrying and opening. Should support lid on something when opening. Otherwise, your hinges may come loose. (Could always re-enforce with wood glue should a problem arise.) Tried attaching photos of filmy cover on holder but I'm having trouble downloading. Anyway, other reviews state the recipe holder is milky and not clear to see through. That is because you have not removed the filmy plastic cover. After you remove from plastic sleeve there is still a plastic film that is near impossible to remove. I have slight OCD and much determination so I finally got mine off using fingers and fingernail at corner, then tweezers to get hold of tiny piece to pull on. Once you get it started can peel from top down. The top and bottom edges still have a little plastic I'm still working on. I find that using fingernail through paper towel to keep from scratching when working on top and bottom edges helps. Can see through it very clearly once film is off. Very time consuming. Careful not to scratch. Would buy again. 4Seems sturdy, but there s writing inside the lid and boxThis is a gift for a bridal shower so it needs to be in gift-giving condition. It looked great on the outside, but there s writing inside the lid and box that looked like pencil but I could not erase. A replacement is being sent so I m hoping this one is free of markings. 3Durable, great quality, awesome priceI was a tad nervous seeing the reviews about the box being poor quality/broken but I went ahead and purchased anyway because the price was awesome compared to the others I saw for $20 or more (outrageous!). I just got the box today and it came in perfect condition. I LOVE the recipe card holder feature it has and it even came with a plastic cover for the card to slip in to keep them clean, in case you need to flip it over while you are cooking. It also came with tab dividers and has a magnetic lid. It feels very sturdy and durable. I would even give this as a gift its so nice. 5Hate To Do This But 2 StarsReceived the box. I do like the design but the quality was pretty bad. The lid was misaligned (no adjustments possible because the hinge plates fit into pre-cut slots) and the hinges are extremely cheap. One of the hinges was also not cut correctly and was not squared on one edge and thus hung over the inside of the box exposing a sharp edge. The screws were also poorly driven with one sticking up a bit higher than the others. I didn't expect a $30 or $40 box for $15 but come on, your QA needs to better than this. Other people seem to have had a good experience so maybe I just got a bad one that slipped through but buyer beware, YMMV. I returned the box and will go with a different selection. 2Very disappointing - no dividers or acrylic display!I was very excited about this recipe box, because my current one is a bit beat-up and has no dividers, and the acrylic display seemed like a very handy feature. However, my package arrived with only a cardboard box containing only the bamboo box itself - no dividers, no acrylic.The box itself is fairly nice, but the lid had a crack in it. I could have lived with that if all the items promised had been included, but sadly this item is getting returned. 1At 12$ it was a steal in my opinion.Well worth it's price. One hinge is a tiny bit loose but overall it is wellade and sturdy. I love the bamboo and the ability to put the card on top. The acrylic holder also fits in the box nicely. I'm 57 and I've never had a recipe box like my Mother. I've always printed them out and used a three ring notebook. But the books get big and bulky and when I take a page out it manages to never get back where it goes. I'm going to keep my most commonly used recipes in this box.I'm happy with it. Nothing fancy. 5Complete junkThis box lasted about three days, and then the top completely fell off. Apparently the box is made of several panels glued together, but they are apparently only glued well enough to last until you take the box out of the package. 1They are pretty decent but this particular box must be defective because ...I bought several of these recipe boxes because I am someone who still likes to keep recipes on paper. They are pretty decent but this particular box must be defective because it came apart after just a couple months - either tiny staples or glue did not hold. Would love to write to Amazon about just getting a replacement item but there is nowhere on this site that lets you contact customer service for something like this. 2Lovely AdditionNice construction. Love that it's made of bamboo. Has plenty of room for hundreds of recipe cards. The plastic sleeve is made of heavy duty plastic, and the notch on the lid of the box handy for being able to hold the sleeve for viewing while cooking. A wonderful addition to my kitchen! 5
