    Bialetti makes the best coffee brewing system in the worldBialetti makes the best coffee brewing system in the world. eventually thru time, the gaskets will wear out and need replacing. this is minor cost as a whole new Bialetti brewer costs about 1/10 the price of some other coffee maker. in fact, you should skip buying the gaskets and just order a new Bialettia 6 cup coffee maker. now I feel like an idiot for buying the gaskets and not just getting a new Bialetti brewer. Those Italians sure know how to build a coffee maker. it is better than my stupid Danish brewer I spent $300 on that I ended up just giving to a girl I work with. boy she is good looking! maybe the Danish brewer will pan out in the long run. 5Just like magic, it was fixedI purchased these gaskets to replace the original gasket in my 3 cup Moka Express. As with a lot of people, I had similar issues immediately after installing the gasket and using the pot. The coffee that used to just flow out of the top, now spurted and sputtered. I tried several different methods, but still had the same results. Luckily for me, I was able to fish the original gasket out of the trash. I immediately noticed it was ever so slightly bigger than the replacements. I placed the original filter back in the pot and brewed a cup. Just like magic, it was fixed. Appears the slightly smaller size of the replacement gasket is just enough to keep the pot from building the proper amount of pressure. Maybe I just got a faulty batch. Maybe this is how they are making them now. In any event, I ended up having to use my original worn out gasket. 1Gasket for 1-cup Moka Express is too smallThe replacement gasket is about 5 mm smaller than the old one from my 1-cup Moka Express. I tried it anyway hoping it might work, but steam just blew out the sides of the pot. 1Good for 3 cup Bialetti. Should have a note on priming the gasket.These fit fine and are are sturdy. However there was no note on for how to get the item primed to be effective. They are very stiff and you need to coat with a little olive oil and wet the gasket and tighten well when new or the pot will not work well. 4Picture is from after useI got this for my dad who said "my espresso brews better than before." 5Perfect! ONLY buy Bialetti brand. Far superior to others and cost the same.I have three Bialetti Moka Express pots, 9 cup, 6 cup and 3 cup. Once I tried a different brand of gaskets, and they were half the thickness, so ever since I buy Bialetti only.I try to change the gasket every six months when using a moka pot daily, but somehow, this time it was over 2 years. Of late, I had been wondering why, even with my favorite premium coffee, it wasn't tasting or brewing quite right. Ordered these, pried out the horribly disfigured and discolored old gasket that was quite degraded, and put in the new gasket and filter. Then I made my coffee - having changed nothing but the gasket and filter. Wow! What a difference in my coffee! Never again will I let it go so long in between gasket changes!These are Bialetti brand - don't buy anything else - thick, perfect fit. Nice low price for three gaskets and filter. Very satsified. 5I won't wait so long again to replace the old seal.Wow, cannot believe how long I waited to replace my old seal.There is this term called 'just noticeable difference'. And over the few years that I have been using my bialetti, the seal as been slowly changing color and getting softer making the coffee grind difficult to clean off it.Only when I replaced the old unit did I realise how bad it was. Completely different colour. Also so much easier to wash with the grind not impregnating itself into the rubber.Should have replaced it ages ago!!!! 5Smaller but still workAfter about 1 year of almost daily use my Moka pot stopped brewing. It would brew about 1/2 a pot of really thick coffe. I assumed it was the seal so I bought these. I noticed that these were slightly smaller than the original seal. After replacing the seal the pot still wouldn t brew. I thought the seal were bad because they were too small. Then I replaced the coffee basket and it works perfectly now. 5Old-Style Rubber, but they workI bought these to replace the gasket in my new-style (2014) Bialetti Brikka 2-cup. They are a good fit.I deducted one star because these gaskets are VERY old stock, made of RUBBER, and this isn't acknowledged anywhere in the listing. Bialetti switched from rubber to silicone in 2012, so I was expecting silicone gaskets. These gaskets have a very very strong smell. They will impart a rubbery taste to your coffee unless you follow these instructions: Before use, wash in soapy water, then soak in vinegar overnight. Then brew and discard at least two pots of coffee.Rubber gaskets will break down faster than silicone, so it's a good thing there are three! 4DisappointedMy ordered filter and three gaskets arrived on time fine, and worked once or twice but then stopped working. Water continues to boil but steam is released without brewing the coffee. I had purchased another set of filters and gaskets through Amazon previously that worked great, but those were three filters and three gaskets. This particular product has one filter and three gaskets, and the gaskets feel somewhat loose when sitting where it should in a Bialetti 3 cup moka maker! 1
