    High capacity, durable photo album. I bought this album from Amazon after researching the available options for a few days. I was looking for a high capacity album with a simple, chic look that would be fairly durable. This photo album fit the bill. The album cover is very durable and has a high quality feel. I also love how it looks in person. I was afraid the beige would be too yellow but it is a subtle muted tan - which is much easier on the eyes than the photo here suggests. The pages are slightly above the standard quality. Thick archival white paper makes up the body of the pages and standard clear plastic sheeting makes up the covering for each photo pocket. All slots are 4x6, as described. I love having the landscape and portrait orientations - definitely a loved detail. The plastic pockets are a little flimsy, but I've yet to find a photo album that does not utilize this plastic sheeting, so it was what I expected. I was just a little more careful when inserting my photos; it seems that the plastic sheeting will endure through storage and perusing the contents of the album after it is filled. The album is not terribly heavy after being completely filled - which is fantastic.Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase. I think it will preserve, store, and showcase my photos well. I would recommend this item to friends and I will probably buy another one soon. 4Huge! This album is huge! I'm so happy with this purchase, I can't wait to fill it all up. I only gave it 4/5 stars because I wish some pages were different with how many horizontal/vertical slots there are. Each page has 2 vertical and 3 horizontal, it would be nice if every few pages that was alternated. The plastic seems to be thick enough, I haven't sliced any of it yet. the horizontal slots do not have a stopper on one side, so photos can go all the way through and potentially fall out. 4Photo plastic doesn't stay in place, photos fall out I'm SO disappointed by this album! It looks pretty nice - the lines on the inside are pretty tacky and detract from the thickness of the paper and the nice look of the binder - but the divets that pin the photo plastic down and separates one photo pocket from another are bad. The glue that is supposed to hold them together often isn't there or doesn't hold, causing the photos to slide around and out of the plastic.Unfortunately, I didn't find time to start printing or putting photos in this album until after the return window had closed; otherwise, I would've GLADLY returned this photo album.Again, incredibly disappointed and frustrated that I can't return it. I had such high hopes. 1It's a great album but... I actually love it and the only reason I even mention BUT is because The corner pictures do tend to slip out :( not all if them but enough that every time I open it I have to put some of them back in. Mind you all my pictures are the same size. The pockets are a bit flimsy but as long as they hold my pictures I am ok with that but if they fall out then blah! Overall I still do like the album. It holds 500 photos and that is awesome for me. Appearance wise it is pretty and well put together. Delivery was fast and no issues. I would recommend this and I will purchase another one. I just need to find an answer to some of the slip outs. Not a big deal. Thank you! 4Great Album! This album is great. It looks really nice. I love how the corners are covered in the leather so as not to wear out. It actually gives the album a more sophisticated look. It's sturdy and big and comes in a plastic cover that you can leave on so you don't have to get the covers dirty if you have little ones(both under two y/o) like me. A huge plus is that each page holds horizontal AND vertical pictures! Also you can write in a little something in the lines down the middle of each page. The only issue I have, and the reason I took off a star is that the pockets on each page closest to the binding(all horizontal pockets) aren't closed off. They are really just slots for the pictures and if you slide them in you could push them through to the other side. They wouldn't just slide out on their own, the pages aren't flimsy. That's just something that bothers me. That's my ONLY issue and all the good certainly outweighs that one blemish. I recommend this album for anyone who has a lot of pictures and wants somewhere nice to put them. 4Poor quality... Disappointing because I loved the album until it tore and came unglued. I loved this at first even though the photos slide around somewhat. It's been a year since I put photos in or even opened this album but I decided to finish filling it up tonight and it tore when I opened it! I am so frustrated! It says lifetime warranty so how do I get it replaced? 1Poorly constructed This album looks nice and unique, but in spite of the rugged American name "Pioneer" and the covered wagon emblem for the company, it's poorly constructed and mass produced in China. Within the first minute, literally 60 seconds, of gently putting pictures into the album, the glue on the binding holding the pages against the spine started making that crinkling, fragile sound and coming apart (see images below). The more pictures I put in, the worse it got and the pages started skewing up and opening akimbo because of the warped binding. I was hoping to use this album for our new baby's pictures, but if it can't hold up for a minute, I don't know what it's going to look like in 18 years. The nice look of the outside of the album and the horizontal and vertical layout of the pages are the only positive attributes of this product. Maybe this one was just a dud? Okay, so I'll give them two stars for trying, but I really don't care to find out with another Pioneer album when it starts falling apart a month or a year down the line. 2Better than the picture shows Album is different in person than it looks online. It's quite big (which I was expecting) but you can't really tell that from the picture. Also, the color of the cover is much better - more beige/cream, not yellow at all. I took pictures for reference because there weren't any in the reviews yet when I purchased. The inside plastic that holds the photos down IS very thin like other reviewers have said, but I think it's comparable to other albums. You have to be careful when inserting photos that the edge of the photo doesn't slice the sealed part of the plastic that separates the photos. May end up having to add a small piece of tape depending on how much you'll be flipping through it. The area to add writing is also nice. It's great for what I need it for - just a family album. The spaces are perfect size for 4x6 photos with a bit of wiggle room. Unfortunately most of my pictures are vertical (from an iPhone), and the majority of the insert spaces are horizontal, but it's not a huge issue. 4Great for the price! its a good photo album, for a good price. It is a material feel, with leather looking material on the black edges. It holds 500 photos. There are two photos which stand up on every page and 3 sideways photos. Also there are top and bottom to hold in the photo, but no edges in the middle of the book, so you have to make sure you don't push the photos in too far or they may get bent in the book. It is a nice sturdy cover. Check the size because I have the cheap bookshelfs and this book sticks out quite a bit. I was expecting that however. It also has a thin strip to write things down the middle. This is great, I love this feature. That being said, it is small small small. You can write one maybe two words if they are short on a line. There are probably 20 or more lines down the page, but its a little annoying. With as many photos as it holds I guess it would be too difficult to put a bigger writing space in. Color is true to form. I am not a huge fan of it, but it was a good deal and worth the price if you take a lot of photos. Also they are all 4x6 4I felt like all the baby albums available didn't hold enough photos I bought this album for my son's first year. I felt like all the baby albums available didn't hold enough photos. I wanted something bigger (holds 500) & I also wanted an album that had both vertical & horizontal slots. On each page there are 2 vertical slots and 3 horizontal slots. So it's perfect! The clear cover prevents the book from getting damaged and also allowed me to put a large picture of my son on the front. I filled the book for his whole 1st year & now I'm about to buy another one! With this much space I must warn it is a little big & once filled is a little heavy but worth it for all the space! I love having all my pictures printed out so I can flip through them anytime! 5
