    Another crappy Amazon Vendor Major Shrinkage and CurlingThese towels are soft. Softer than the large flat ones. However, after several washes, the sides shrunk and curled up and the tassels came unravelled. I do not recommend theses towels.The picture shows the original size and the current shrunken misshapen size. Don't waste your money. Maybe this company would like to send a better quality towel to me or refund my money. 1Not absorbent.Not sure why there are so many good reviews. These are super thin. Another reviewer said it best, it s like drying off with a sheet. They are as thin as cheap flour sack tea towels from Walmart, but less absorbent. I would have returned had I not washed them the recommended amount of times. I happened across some great Turkish hand towels at TJ Maxx. They are great, absorbent, dry fast. I was looking for something comparable and these aren t it. 2Most recent towels are the bestI absolutely love these! Beautiful muted colors. All cotton, handmade. An incredible bargain. These were my first peshtemal towels, so I wasn t sure what to expect or what to compare them to. Lightweight, generous size, and a nice texture that is not too soft. They did not shrink a great deal, if at all. Unfortunately, they are no longer available but I would imagine that others by Bosphorus (also operating as Copper Bull) has similar quality ones.I did purchase a total of 12 more towels from Bosphorus/Copper Bull that they recommended since these were no longer available. They are nice looking (nice bright colors, diamond weave, and nice smooth texture). But I still prefer the originals for now, although they may grow on me.Update July 2019:The original towels (like thick woven string) are still doing well, but they left lint on my daughter s swimsuit. Less now than a year ago.The diamond weave towels were awful and not soak up water at all. Pretty but useless.The latest batch purchased a month or two ago are the best! It s like a really big, super sized thick flour sack towel. Much larger than the other towels. Texture seemed weird at first but they absorb water well and dry quickly. They also look great. They are my daughter s favorite towels for summer swim meets. 5Best Towels ever!I'm giving these a 5 star rating because of several reasons. I bought these for a 50th birthday party to be held in Hawaii. They are thinner than terry cloth towels and they dry quickly. They also pack well. I submitted my own color choices to the vendor and within 3 days they arrived from Turkey. I loved the fact that the vendor responded by email to acknowledge they had received my request for colors and they had been shipped. The colors are very vibrant and they are super soft. I highly recommend Bosphorous for their product and their customer service. 5Will Be Buying MoreOriginally purchased these towels for a family trip to the Bahamas. These are lightweight, soft and absorbent. I washed them and dried them (high heat) prior to packing. They did not shrink on me. They pack small which is way better than a normal beach towel when you're packing several suitcases. They held up at the beach and my other family members even used them. My small children could easily wrap these around them and run around. I was using a towel like pashmina to keep the sun off my shoulders while kayaking without feeling like I had a heavy towel around me. I saw one Turkish towel at Home Goods sell for almost $20. The stripes were different but the size and the feel were exactly the same. 5Luxurious, soft and perfect for purposeMet and exceeded my expectations. Gorgeous towels. High quality. That's how beautiful, soft and luxurious these Gray2 pattern Turkish towels are. They dry well and quickly. 5Still NOT absorbent after 1 month - look beautiful tho!These are SUMMER OUTDOOR TOWELS! They do look beautiful and are just like the pictures.Unless they are going to magically start absorbing a lot more water (it's been a month since I've used them regularly), I just don't understand the hype with Turkish towels. In the summer I am sure they are better with the heat for drying, but I have been using them for the hot tub in the winter and you feel like you are drying off with something that just doesn't absorb water well. It's not terrible, just not like a nice plush or regular terry cloth towel. 3SUPER STYLISHI have a big family and so bought these to keep around the pool. I thought if I was going to keep finding towels laying around outside, that they should match and look cool. Also, I didn't want to keep laundering regular towels, but rather have ones that dry easily and add to the look of the patio. ;) I LOVE these towels!! They look even nicer in person than I was expecting. They would make great throws/wraps as well. I haven't washed them much yet, but i imagine they will get more absorbant over time, much like cloth diapers which need to be seasoned through washing. They are perfect for using in a warm climate--would probably use something else to dry in the winter, but then again we don't go through many towels on the daily in the winter. I'm VERY happy with this purchase and might buy more for the bathrooms. 5I ordered these towels to replace some boring standard white towels that were starting to show their ...I ordered these towels to replace some boring standard white towels that were starting to show their wear. We've been using them for about a month now. My husband and I use these after our showers daily and wash them after about 3-4 days of use. I also washed and dried them twice before we started using them as they supposedly soften with use and washing. So I can say that while they are more soft than they were on arrival, they are not as soft as the other turkish towels that I have even after being washed at least 4-5 times each. I am hopeful that they will continue to soften up. Some of the tassels tend to come untied in the wash and dry process. I'm am not washing them in a particularly gentle way and I think this is bound to happen with this type of towel. I retwisted and tied them the first few times but now I am just not that worried about it. I will probably eventually just tie knots without twists and hope that holds better. The edges of the fabric have also remained a bit wrinkled which is not a problem I encountered with my other towels. I don't mind it too much as I think the rumpled look is part of their charm, but it may bother some people. Overall I do really enjoy the towels. Ultimately, I found them to be a bit too big for a bath towel, but I took them with me when my family went to the beach this summer and they are the perfect beach towel! Due to the large size, they are almost like a beach blanket, and they dry incredibly quickly, which is fantastic when you are the beach with kids who are in and out of the water. I found that it I left them stretched out in full sun, they dried within 30 minutes, and at the end of the day, I hung them on the line and they were completely dry and ready to head back to the beach the following morning. As a bonus, I had two clean towels in my carry-on on the return flight home, and discovered that they make a perfect wrap/lightweight blanket in-flight! The quality is excellent - very soft cotton that has already become more plush with a handful of washings (ensure you follow care instructions closely)! These are a great find! 5
