    Simply amazingFinally got around to installing this to replace a previous piece of junk version. What a difference. It's like they understood (1) what a pain it is to get in a narrow space under the sink and (2) how much abuse a trash can mechanism really takes. This thing is solid. 8 screws go into the base. With a power screwdriver I swear it took 5 minutes flat. Worth it. Don't mess with the other white-painted flimsy versions. 5I have two of these for years in my old house; bought a new one when I moved to a new house.I am very happy with the simplehuman Under-Counter Pulll-Out Trash Can (30 liter). I had bought two of these a number of years ago when I lived in a different house, and had only one pull-out trash can from the cabinet manufacturer. I bought one simplehuman pull-out trash can to supplement our existing built-in pull-out trash can; we re-purposed the existing pull-out for recycling, and used the new simplehuman pull-out for trash. The simplehuman pull-out proved far superior to the cabinet maker's product in every way. I bought another to install in our laundry room for trash as well. They have lasted through many years of two kids and two adults using them regularly, especially the one used for trash in the kitchen.Now we have moved on to another house, which again had a built-in unit used for trash, and no recycling. I bought and installed a new simplehuman pull-out trash can which we are using for recycling. It appears to be every bit as solid as the previous two were, and I expect many many years of service from this product.Installation is simple. Test fitting the installation was necessary in my new installation due to a tight space with an Insinkerator on one side, and a protruding cabinet hinge on the other. I skewed the unit ever so slightly to accommodate both. I took the advice of another reviewer, and set the front-to-back position by closing the cabinet door on the entire unit before I fastened it to the bottom of the cabinet in order to get the front as close to the cabinet door as possible. I then placed it back about 1/16" of an inch from that position. However, the design of the rails on the unit I received makes that precaution unnecessary if your concern is whether the trash can can be easily removed from the holder after installation; the rails have an extra extension position that places the trash can well out of the vertical plane of the cabinetry so that it can be easily removed. My original simplehuman pull-outs (purchased many years ago) did not have this extra extension capability, and it was necessary for me to tilt the cans slightly as I pulled them out so that they would clear the cabinetry.My new unit came with a pack of 10 bags from simplehuman; I don't know if I buy replacements once these are used; we have found that the Glad Force-flex 13 gallon tall kitchen trash bags fit nicely in these simplehuman trash cans and are easy to buy in large quantities from our local warehouse store.It IS pricey, but since it performs so well and lasts so long it seems worth the cost to me. 5AMAZINGI know, amazing?! We're talking about a garbage can right? Yes!!!! If I could give this 50 stars I would. Every once in a while in life it is worth the splurge to pay for something like this - something that is so well built, you know it was worth the money, every cent. I have spent years struggling to pull the cheap garbage cans out then get the (*#@! thing to go back. The tracks on this are solid, the can is tough and sturdy and it glides into the cupboard and out again like an ice skater in the olympics. Thank you simplehuman - this truly is an amazing product. 5Discrete and easy to install, works with nearly all bags.Fits nicely under my sink and is thin enough not nestle right beside the garbage disposal. Installation of this was easy all I needed was a power drill a screw driver would do the trick but would be a bit more of a hassle.They offer custom bags for this but I've found it works with nearly all standard trash bags, even ones that are too large can be tied around the lip of the can. The runners allow the can to pull out fully from the cabinet for easy removal of the bag.Edit: Make sure you have a solid base to install into. Under our sink is a cheap press board wood, it got a little damp due to a leak. Over time we pull the can out, and apply pressure to push something fully into the trash, then suddenly one day the screws tore loose. A better anchoring screw may have helped - though it's my own fault for the leak. Even so there are only 4 screws to hold the thing in so pushing down applies a lot of pressure to the back two screws. Be careful 5Nice!Ordered two, one for trash and one for recycle, because I read that simplehuman's other product with both on one pull out was small. Installation was easy. Each came with eight screws, I only used four (one at each corner) to make as few holes in my cabinet as possible. The instructions say measure two inches from the front and sides, but I realized I could have measured 1.5 inches for a little more space inbetween and a little less of a reach to pull the bins out (this could depend on your cabinets though). Still good, no issues pulling the trash out, and my fiance is pleased!Includes a pack of trash bags and a 5 year warranty. It would be nice if they had a choice of color (blue for recycling). 5Worth Every Penny!!Got 2 of these delivered in 2 days and I had them installed and working in less than an hour, and I m not a handy man. There are cheaper versions of these by other manufacturers. Don t waste your time. Super smooth glide. Rock solid construction. It's high quality construction made it an ideal fit for my needs. It comes as shone with trash can. 5Builder did not include built-in trash pull outs and we didn't want a trash can sitting out in our beautiful new kitchenBought two of these for our newly built home. So after doing some research and measuring the size of our cabinet, we decided to go with this one. And boy are we pleased we did. The price was more than we wanted to spend, especially for two, but these are so nice and fit perfectly in our cabinet. The fixed handle on the front is perfect and makes it so easy to use. We have one for our trash and one for recycle, and they were super easy to install. I used a small drill just to get the holes started and then used a small electric screwdriver to drive in the screws. Took me a total of about 15 minutes to install two. Biggest tip is to ensure you leave a couple of inches space from the front of the cabinet to accommodate the handle - I left about two inches and still had plenty of clearance at the back of the cabinet. They arrived quickly (within two days of ordering, I have Prime) and a 10-pack of sample trash bags was a super nice touch. I used one of by Costco brand 13 gallon trash bags and they fit great, a bit snug across the top which is fine by use since this will help prevent the bag from falling inside. Overall, these truly are 5-star quality pull out trash cans from the order and delivery to the quality and ease of installation. Definitely 100% happy with this new addition to our new kitchen! 5Makes a Huge Difference!I got this pull-out trashcan specifically for my recyclables. We had been using a plastic storage tote in the corner of the kitchen for a while and things would get messy. The bin would fill up and overflow, no one would want to carry it outside to empty it, so the sink would also fill up with recyclables. It drove me nuts!!As a solution, I decided to get a trash barrel that we could store out of sight and LET ME TELL YOU, this product has changed our lives for the better. The barrel is so easy to empty out: just remove the liner and toss into the barrel outside. It was simple enough to install with a power drill. I only ended up using 4 of the 8 screws to stabilize the base. It seems plenty secure like this. I made sure to place the base of the slider so that I could pull the barrel all the way out, clearing the knobs on the drawer above it. This way, the barrel itself is easily removed from the rack.I would also like to say that the Simple Human bags are a superior design compared to your typical leading brand. A small sample pack of trash bags is included with the purchase of the pull-out barrel. I also bought a 60 pack of blue recycle bags. These bags feel like they're made of a stronger plastic than other trash bags. If you don't want to buy Simple Human bags, any 30L/8 gal bag should fit. 5Fit perfectly under the kitchen sink. Nice sturdy construction.I have very limited under-counter space. Was originally going to go with a 20 quart trash can but was willing to try this larger 30 liter model. Glad I did. It fit into my limited space like it was custom made.First thing I noticed was the sturdy construction. This thing is made to last. I scanned the customer reviews. Plenty of worthwhile advice here to aid in my purchase. Per several posts I measured interior cabinet space 3x and then place my order. My purchase arrived in 2 days via Prime. Total installation time was about 15 minutes with a cordless drill. Unit comes with 8 wood screws for installation but I only required 4 to get the base firmly mounted. Base allows minor adjustments to its position once the screws are drilled into place. I was able to get perfect clearance and placement then permanently tightened the wood screws.My order came with 10 free custom trash bags. Very happy with my purchase:) 5
