    Paper quality has gone downI have used these folders for years and until now I have been completely satisfied. I typically buy two or three boxes per year. But the company has now changed the paper. The folders look the same, but the paper is now softer and highly absorbent. The result is that when you write the file name on the top edge, it looks like it was written on blotter paper. The ink just flows out sideways, and the letters and numbers look very fuzzy. This happens with any type of pen. The paper also feels soft -- it no longer has that nice, hard finish to it. I'm very disappointed, and I now have to find another supplier.1Arrived on time but taped together!Received my order today. The box was torn up and taped together . I ve ordered these before and have never had a box that looked like that! All the folders were in there. They seem a little thinner than previous orders.4Great Price & QualityI buy these for our office and it is much cheaper to buy them online then from a local store, has the great Smead quality you find in all their office supplies.5Nice, but no bargin pricingBought for the first time six weeks ago. Price increase of almost $5.00 since then. Guess the increase is to off set the Bargin Prices on other items. This was the first time I have used this style of folder--after almost 40 years in office, sales and supervisory positions. So it is not my place to discuss quality, but I have found them to be a delightful "new" way to organize and secure documents. Don't you just hate it when you drop a folder or a pile of folders falls of your desk! I am ordering another box today at the increased price. Just wish my Social Security "check" would reflect this similiar increase. (For those of you younger people that may not be aware...there is no COLA for Our "Grey Haired" generation this coming year.) So, all you young "whipper snappers" out there...either stock up now before further price increases--or, start saving now... MORE. Tear up.Staples had a much better quality product : 50 Pendaflex sturdy for $15.49.In addition, this product was listed as not returnable. However I called a rep and I was told a refund would show on my accoubnt between 3 to 5 days. Plus they also said to just dispose of the item1Smead Fastener File Folders 2 FastenersI purchased these Smead Fasteners for my husband who likes to keep his paperwork organized. He says they are just what he needed. They are well made, not to thick but not thin enough that they would fall apart after a few uses. These will last him for quite some time. The two hole fasteners are sturdy. It's a well made product.5Everyday UseUse these every day and they are the brand to have in any busy office where a lot of paperwork needs to be separated and stored neatly and securely. I recommend them. That said, I wish I knew why the beautiful colored versions cost so much more... they shouldn't... but there it is.5For years I had been using a hold cutter to ...For years I had been using a hold cutter to put prongs into folders. This costs a little more, but it's the right way to do it. If you handle a lot of paperwork, do yourself a favor and get some of these.5Very Flimsy!Very dissatisfied with these folders. Misled to believe I was purchasing sturdy folders, and these are very flimsy.1Quality has gone way way downI'm annoyed enough to write a review. I've bought this product before with no problems but the last box I received had at least 7 folders where the metal clips were either placed crookedly or were chopped off so they were useless. 7 out of 50 is a lot of folders to throw away. I don't know if they changed manufacturers or had a bad batch but it's unacceptable. I'll be looking at other brands.2
