You get what you pay for.In this case I definitely got what I paid for. The pack of 10 arrived in good condition and I was excited to install them in my kitchen. At first they seemed great, nice and bright. But slowly 4 of the 10 thus far started flickering. We were trying to decide whether it was the bulbs or something was wrong with our light fixtures so we switched out the bulbs in those areas. They were still flickering after being on for awhile. Since there were so many good reviews I wanted to let people know that they aren't that great. I even tried to contact the company and never heard back.1Great replacement for halogensI got these to replace 50w halogen bulbs in recessed lamps. The fit perfectly. The existing 8 year old dimmer works well. There is no buzzing or humming. The only thing I notice is that even when the switch is off, the LEDs are still emitting some light, but I think that has to do with the switch (it has its own indicator LED, so I guess there is some current going through), so I won't punish the bulbs for that. They have done a great job of matching the color temperature, and these 3000K match the 50w halogens almost perfectly, and produce almost no heat, which I think will even help the A/C run less ( I live in South Florida and have a lot of recessed lamps in dining and living room, as well as in the hallways). Time will tell how durable they are, but so far, they have met expectations.I will be ordering more to replace all the remaining halogens.5works very wellWe have dimmable halogen track lighting. But, we noticed that the halogen lights appear to be causing certain pigments to fade, which could possibly make a new painting we purchased fade over time. Because of this we looked for alternative bulbs to use and chose these in warm tones. I would say that it is nearly equivalent to the original bulbs. They are slightly less bright. They are easily dimmable. They are in a nice warm tone, so colors are not washed out. That being said the painting's blue is a little more (just slightly) purple than before. But, apparently nobody noticed the difference if they weren't told we had changed the bulb. And hopefully we don't need to worry about fading. Perhaps they will last a long time as well, unlike the halogen bulbs. Overall, I think they will work very nicely.5Great at first, but don't lastI bought two packs of these for a bunch of potlights in my kitchen. I was happy initially; nice color temperature, dimmed well, etc. Unfortunately, they just haven't lasted. They've been starting to flicker heavily (like a strobe light, almost), or some of them have just started to be noticeably dimmer (like half as bright). I have about twenty PAR20 ceiling fixtures in the kitchen. Because my idiot electrician didn't leave enough space to ventilate, the standard halogen bulbs overheat and burn out in an average of 6 months. At $6 each, I was replacing 40 bulbs/year at a cost of $240/year in bulbs.These run cool, consume 7 watts instead of 40, don't burn out (ever, so far) and the light is indistinguishable (both color and pattern) from the standard halogens.And these cost $3 each instead of $6.Buy these.(Added: From reading the other reviews, maybe these aren't a good choice if you have a dimmer. I don't have a dimmer on them.)5these will work out great. But for dimmed warm mood light not so ...Dimmable yes, but you have to have the correct kind of dimmer (lead edge dimmer, what ever that is) so make sure you have that. Also the light is very bright (good) and rather on the cold/neon side (bad). I was hoping to replace halogen lamps in track lighting, but the light is way too cold and dimming doesn't give that orange glow, just less light, since it's LED). If you want very bright light and bulbs that last for ever, these will work out great. But for dimmed warm mood light not so much.3!!Listen to the reviews these are no good for outdoor use!!So far so good. I replaced fluorescent up lighting with these. The fluorescent lights were lasting just about a year. I'm looking forward to these lasting a long time and saving energy along the way.**Update Feb 15, 2017**OK. Less than three months went by and all the bulbs have failed/burnt out. We are using these for up lighting on the exterior of the house. The lights are on a timer switch that turns on at sundown and turns off at 11 PM, so the lights are on just a few hours a night. I absolutely do not recommend these for outdoor use.1Great LED dimmable bulbs as usual with SuncoThese LED bulbs where much needed to replace quite ugly spot incandescent light bulb over my kitchen countertop. My lamps now appear much nicer with a flush bulb rather than the original clunky spot bulbs and I did not even changed the dimmer switch. The brightness is well enough to not blind you at full power (if you are not looking straight to the bulb of course) and the light reaches every part of the kitchen whichever power setting. I like them. Sunco was a totally unknown brand until I started to change all my light bulbs in the house for Sunco LEDS and they proved to be really affordable and efficient, time only can tell if they are reliable. I did pay for my product and was not sponsored at all for this review, it is just that when a product is good and meets my highly demanding quality standards, the brands deserves a shoutout.5
