Wonder-FilledA light bulb is a light bulb is a light bulb. Au contraire! Edison Style bulbs are particularly beautiful in a clear glass lamp. Wattage is important ... underdo it! This spiral is especially dazzling, as I have been told by many guests. I agree with them. It's strange to find that a light bulb can be intriguing. Again, this one is. I use the 25 watt bulb in evenings and it mimics bright candle light with curly-queues. Thanks for yet another wonder-filled gift.5Perfect Edison retro bulbs for steampunk, industrial or artistic applicationsI've been looking for just the right Edison style bulb for our retro-fitted industrial post lights and this is it. I've ordered and tried over 5 different filament bulbs to test them in the fixtures, and they were all either too bright or burned out very quickly. But this particular 25 Watt bulb is soft enough that you can see the spiral filament and it casts a lovely retro warm glow - and so far has lasted longer than a few nights, (which is more than i can say for some of the competitors on the market). It's exactly what we were hoping for. So I'd say that if you're looking for Edison retro bulbs for steampunk, industrial or artistic applications - and not necessarily for bright illumination - I'd highly recommend the Rolay 25 Watt here.5Such great light bulbs!I love these light bulbs! They are just beautiful to look at. I am really happy I went with the spiral filament. I got an eight light fixture for my kitchen & these fit perfectly. The light color is just right, not too yellow. This bulbs that were in it were 40 watts which was too bright. I love these 25 watt vintage Edison bulbs, there brightness is exactly what I was looking for. I can look at the lights w/o being blinded and they create the dimmer lighting in my living room w/o being blinded. I cannot speak on the longevity as I have only had them for less than a week.5Very dimThis lightbulb is very dim and not at all what I was expecting. It is also very small. Maybe that was my fault but I thought it would be larger and a tad bit brighter. But if you're looking for something that's very dim, this bulb would work great. Maybe a very small lamp or something.3A Fantastic, Innexpensive "Industrial" Lighting SolutionThese Edison Bulbs are an awesome, inexpensive way to bring in a subtle "industrial" look to your home decor. As a standard rule, if you want to visibly see the filaments illuminate without being blinded, get a 25w bulb.The 25w bulb provides a warm glow, not enough to do any heavy reading/writing but offers a cozy, aesthetically pleasing lighting solution. If the bulb is more than 25w, they shine too bright and appear to be s standard run-of-the-mill bulb (and kind of defeats the purpose).I mounted two decorative shelf brackets to the wall on either side of my love seat to serve as a lamp "post"/hanger. I wrapped plug-in style pendent light cables around the brackets and these Edison bulbs now hang above each arm of the love seat about 10" from the wall. I got two antique bronze bulb guards to protect the bulbs and bring out an industrial look. It worked out perfectly (I'll attach photos later). I bought everything here on Amazon -spent about $65 and took less that 45 minutes to complete.These bulbs are fantastic, and I would recommend them without any hesitation. I'm interested to see how long the bulbs last with regular daily use. I will update with any upsets, but I don't foresee that happening.5Excellent bulbs for a modern fixture!I priced these bulbs at the big box stores. The prices were similar but no one had a quantity of 20 for my new light fixture. I love how they look in my dining room, which is a bit mid century and a bit steam punk. I ordered 24 and had zero broken bulbs or filaments. (I used 20 in the fixture but opened and tested all 24.)5This will filament your heart with joy....Dont get this bulb if you need to light up your room because you trip over stuff and fall....DO buy this bulb if you need just a bit of light and need it with style.
