    Very Hard to Close the HandlesThey were way too big for what I was looking for. Plus I have arthritis and could barely close the tongs with my one hand. It would be helpful if they had a ring to hold them closed for storage, but that's a minor thing. So far no rusting but I've not used them much yet. Tongs equal to the quality of this product cost $12 through kitchen supply, so I was skeptical finding a similar product at such a low price. I ordered one pair to try. After two weeks of use EVERY DAY, I was so pleased I ordered 10 more to use as practical stocking stuffers for family members. They do not have a locking mechanism, but I can tell you that the chef and other cooks that I worked with would remove the locking mechanism from their tongs the minute they got a new pair.I thought this was odd, but it didn't take me long to start doing the same thing. Much more user friendly not messing with the lock (which wears out over time anyway). I love this product! Easy to use, easy to clean, dishwasher safe. And strong enough to remove pizza pans, sizzlers, and other (not too heavy) items from the oven (instead of using potholders). I also use it to remove hot lids from pots, turn bacon, grill steaks and chops - it's like having a third hand.5High QualityThe quality was amazing on these!
